It's actually the first deafheaven album
Is there a shoegaze album that feels psychedelic in the same sort of way the grateful dead's live/dead feels?
>>61036392

Some faggot has an obsession with mediocre singles. He'll get tired of it eventually.
>>61034710
Lol I was just listening to this. Do you like Spiritualized? Lazer Guided Melodies is a solid 9/10 for me.
>>61036392
Nowhere
>>61038455
I've never listen to YLT but if you like spiritualized, I'd heavily reccomend Sonic Jesus. Pic related came out this year and it takes its sound pretty heavily from psych rock. It's kind ofl ike Spiritualized + A Place to Bury Strangers.

Yeah definitely take a listen to Ride. They had this live recording thing that reminded me a lot of the Dead.
>>61038595
Thanks homie. I am fans of both of them, I'll give it a listen.
>>61038665
Yeah, I like Ride, I still need to check out all their EPs though.
>>61037992

I used to know this emo-gaze band from Sweden or something but I forgot their name and haven't been able to find them again since my library died a few years back
>>61043098
Grooms - Infinity Caller
Pinkshinyultrablast - Everything Else Matters
Candy Claws
Wild Nothing's shit
Speaking from exactly the same experience. Start out with the poppy, more upbeat side and slowly move on to more shoegaze.

Nobody ever talks of Cocteau Twins...

Yeah we do.
BBK best album

I personally really love Victorialand... Or at least the first half, 'cause I mostly listen to it to sleep to. Still, I'd be lying if I didn't say Treasure is my favorite.
>>61046299
Did you miss all the shit that went down a couple of months ago?
>>61047082
Maybe I just don't know a lot about Public Enemy
>>61046299
>>61047231
Public Enemy was famously offensive to sensitive white people for slightly less petty but somewhat similar reasons as Whirr.
Why would you ask who the Public Enemy of shoegaze is if you don't know much about Public Enemy?
>>61046903
Damn, are you me? I feel like Victorialand is their masterwork. Treasure, however, is the personal to me and holds the most sentiment since it's the album I came in on. And what an album to come in on. Otterley is one of the most dreamy, phantasmagoric tracks ever. I fell asleep in bed listening to the album with headphones and I woke back up in the middle of this track, but I was half awake and half asleep. One of the most surreal experiences I've ever had.
>>61047519
You know, that's a really good question.
>>61034247
I'm enjoying this Purple Pilgrims thing more than I thought I would.
Maybe it's because I don't have the attention span for full-length ambient works, so 13 or so minutes of it is good. I like the psychedelic guitar stuff in parts of it, but there's not really much unique or interesting stuff in it other than that it's pretty and there's nice guitar noodling.
>>61038595
What do people think about this album anyway?
Any of you lads got the new(ish) Love of Diagrams? I've got it in MP3 if you blokes don't have it.
What are the essentials of shoegaze past Loveless, Souvlaki, and Nowhere?
>>61049454
uploaded it anyway

The Years almost over
What's your shoegaze AOTY?
>>61046388
I didn't care for Heaven or Las Vegas, so I kind of gave up on them, but I just listened to pic and loved it
