>>61032716
>cool beaglepuss

>but i imagine if i hadn't grown up with all these songs it wouldn't be that fun
certainly not
polyglot sounds cool
>>61032793
i guess that's one of the downsides of being all meta or whatever
not much worth outside of its context
polyglot is cool! reminds me of magma and bondage fruit and that kind of thing but less rock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YV6paohBcic
>>61032860
>magma and bondage fruit
>less rock

this is great it sounds like henry cow mixed with after dinner
>>61032716

>>61032965
i need to listen to henry cow then!
i think i want to get into prog music like this
there's something really satisfying about this virtuoso stuff but it's still so 1. pleasant sounding and 2. catchy which is kind of hard to find elsewhere
wish me luck
>>61033034
please don;t be sad
>>61033107
stuff from the canterbury scene could be like that too
this isn't necessarily canterbury scene but it is inspired by it and i like it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpBen4-AhXI
>>61033168
this is gorgeous
yeah i think i'm going to look into this stuff
also do you know what RIO is exactly
i always see it next to avant-prog and canterbury scene, is it in a similar vein?
>>61033245
avant prog is a style that is basically rock mixed with modern classical or the more avant garde jazz of the time
canterbury scene was a scene that grew to mean jazzy psych rock with silly themes (as far as i can tell)
and RIO was a movement that just happened to have a lot of similar sounding groups part of it. it was sort of like a club where you all supported and promoted each other's weirdo music.
>>61033353
>promoted each others weirdo music
that sounds really comfy actually
i don't know why i thought it was some kind of racist thing
i love unwnd
>>61033555
i don't
>>61033483
