Well there are worse qualities to emulate.
I was poor growing up and I think it's a good thing people seem to care about brands less. Even if it is still conformity, it's cheaper conformity for the kids that have it rough.
My girlfriend and I got into Mac Demarco after seeing him live at a music festival. I like the 2, Salad Days, and another one albums a lot. Salad Days was the first I bought. His shows are really fun. It's just laid back, fun music, and he is an amazing performer. Saw him in Chicago at Metro last month. Great time.

If you're so bent on emulating poverty why don't you give the car away then? Never have I actually seen them spending their money wisely, but on branded clothing that are made to look worn out the factory etc.
I don't have anything against people recycling clothing or anything else, quite the opposite. But it's sadly not the case around here atleast for the vast majority.
