Sorry /mu/, but I just gotta get this off my chest..

Why did Paul have to turn into such an egotistical cunt?

He was totally trying to be Brian Wilson on this album (pic related). Like, he saw Brian take charge of Pet Sounds and then was like "come on lads, time to be my sidemen so I can remind the world who is the real music person 'round here...hey photographers, remember to tell the other three to always face the opposite direction to me during photoshoots from now on".

I just feel that he used the other three Beatles for his own egotistical gain with this album.

Nah dude, you're full of shit. Paul just had ambition and worked hard towards it, and every time Paul did something cool and it got attention, John would try to one up, and vise versa. John would never have reached his potential if Paul hadn't compelled it out of him. Not to mention, John wrote half the songs, George had one, and all of them were using loads of musicians that weren't even in the band. The whole "Paul is a horrible ego-maniacal asshole" thing is mostly just backlash. Can you imagine what a pain it would be to work with John? Who was constantly insecure because Paul was challenging him? To the point where he brought in fucking Yoko Ono to the studio to comment on track productions? Paul didn't do anything wrong, other than try really hard to make the best music he knew how to make. John is the true narcissist of the group, which is why it killed him so much that somebody he looked down upon became such a force in his own right.

Why George has so few songs in the albums? Ringo basically has written like 6 songs for the entire discography
>>
>>61025650
Because George didn't write songs as good or as often. He definitely gained confidence and skill over time, but I think people way overrate All Things Must Pass. There's some good stuff there, but most of it just proved that he wasn't as talented imo. As for Ringo, well apparently he would try to write songs but just ended up rewriting songs he had heard recently. As far as I know all he has in their discography was Don't Pass Me By and Octopus's Garden. I never cared for the fiddle in DPMB, and the best part of OG was everything everybody else did to embellish it. Paul and John were the focal points of the band, they were counterpoints to each other, and both of them had strengths and flaws.

He was totally trying to be edgy on this album (pic related).

Probably because he didn't force the issue as much as the others. Paul and John were the most popular, and they steered the direction of the band. All three have their distinct sounds, mostly because they sing the songs the wrote but also instrumentally. George Harrison went on to release a lot of music, and I'm pretty sure he had mastered the most instruments out of any Beatle by the end of it

Why did Mick have to turn into such an egotistical cunt?

He was totally trying to be Paul McCartney on this album (pic related). Like, he saw Paul take charge of Sgt Pepper and then was like "come on lads, time to be my sidemen so I can remind the world who is the real music person 'round here...hey photographers, remember to tell the other three to always face the opposite direction to me during photoshoots from now on".

I just feel that he used the other four rolling stones for his own egotistical gain with this album

o wow this is pasta I didn't know, it is so easy to look back at baby boomer music and claim "HA NOBODY WAS ORIGINAL" I guess the Beatles just had that dope boy pussy marketing in the 60's

Paul can do vocals, guitar, bass, piano, harmonica, drums (he even filled in and re-recorded for Ringo sometimes) and is at least adequate at all of them.

George also played the violin and sitar. I wasn't trying to make it a dick measuring contest.

>I'm pretty sure he had mastered the most instruments out of any Beatle by the end of it
This is something that can be objectively measured.
>>
>>61026051
Both Paul and George were proficient instrumentalists, I think overall George was probably the most talented musician of them all but Paul was definitely a better songwriter (though I think ultimately John was the best songwriter of the bunch).

I think he meant the Let It Be album cover

John got him back by completely domineering the White Album sessions. Paul may have spearheaded the concept of Sgt. Pepper, but John ruled over the WA sessions so hard that sometimes the other band members as well as Martin himself would go to other rooms just to work on songs away from him. They were all drifting apart in a lot of ways anyway, but Paul's presence over the Sgt. Pepper sessions kind of pales in comparison.
