I'm not trying to be a reviewer. I use RYM as a site for a catalog of what I enjoy and what I don't enjoy. I could just rate albums I like, but then I and other people wouldn't know what I dislike. I can listen to an album I know I probably won't enjoy because I try to listen to music without many biases.

This is exactly why American grading systems are dumb though. By definition a 60% should at least be good because it's better than the average, but for some reason the average, which is a C, is like 70%. So yeah a 3 isn't amazing at all but it means you at least liked something.

Brahem's music is always understated so I do understand how you feel. You should check out Souvenance from last year, it's much more expressive imo.
