Yes that's why they're amazing live, or should I say goat live
>>61006005
U start
>>61006318
The Killers are shit live. A comparable band would be Mutemath which is much better live.
>>61006311
Completely agree. I wish they still made good music though.
>>61006311
damn..
>>61006519
IMO they're greater now than they were ever (Well, not really, Drones is a drop from the last fhree for me, but much better than the generic Showbiz and the insanely ambitious but unprepared Origin -which I love, but it had its flaws)

I loved everything before Resistance but thought they were trying to sound too much like Queen for that album. I listened to the 2nd law maybe 3 times and thought it was the worst ever until I heard that new single, Psycho. Oh well.
>>61006891
I didn't see the Queen in the composition of Resistance, but I saw it on the vocals. Which is fine, for me, as much as I liked the previous albums I found it pretty silly how Bellamy would just run out of air and sound whiny as fuck in things like Stockholm Syndrome. Filling out his bottom end A-la Mercury was a great choice for me.
I also dug the eclectic sound of 2nd Law, a lot. And even Psycho, even if it is just generic Hard Rock, it's *good* generic Hard Rock. Much better than pretty much any attempts at two fister Hard Rock I've heard in the last 10 years.

Les Savy Fav are always entertaining
METZ are amazing live. Have seen them twice this year. First time was just after Viet Cong played and the drummer moshed with us in the crowd. Second time was in Dublin in November. A few annoying kids but the crowd were mostly sound. Girl Band were there as well just hanging out. Regardless of that though METZ are intense. Def check them out asap before they become huge and play in larger venues.
Queens of the Stone Age
Skinny Puppy

I love QOTSA but I want to punch Homme's face whenever I see it.
>>61007069
Some people just don't get IT.
Minutes 9-14 of 11/17/97 Ghost are IT, for those who have no self control and can't take the full journey.
>>61007069
not that guy youre replying to, but phish only has one good song senpai

>>61007095
What is there to get? Stoned noodling improvisation? Get back to me when they can actually write a decent song.
>>61007047
I hate QOTSA but I want to punch Homme's face whenever I see it.

I liked Oysterhead.

This guy. This guy doesn't get music. This guy doesn't get jazz or blues or the sheer beauty of seeing four heads of an improvisational monster mesh and come together triumphantly.
This guy has never let go and closed his eyes and let his mind wander as the band builds and swells, themes coalescing and swirling and one divine entity of purpose suddenly crashing through and roiling through a crowd of thousands who all collectively hear the monumental piece being created and then dissolved in that unique way, in a way it never will again.
The divine breath falls away and the crowd and band both find themselves back on terra firma as they venture boldly into whatever may next away them.
tl;dr don't be a faggot

Jack Ü
not even memeing
>>61007206
Your post is just like Phish. A whole bunch of fluff and pretty wankery which is mildly amusing but in the end go's nowhere and means nothing.

Journey not the destination. We all die brah.
>>61007111
Not even mad you think they only have one good song. I love llama, thanks for sharing that one.

>>61007206
I love phish as much as the next phan but that post was a bit much. Would you say that to someone who doesn't listen to phish in normal conversation?
>>61006497
the killers are good live
>>61007343
Nah, I usually reserve it for the point of the conversation where people indicate they have no taste for improvisation, have never listened to Phish, and also are severely criticizing my own musical taste.
Honesty, I don't really care if other people like them or not, I just like to explain why it pushes the right buttons for me and is probably the best live music experience possible.
>>61006113
saw them this year and can confirm
>>61007047
I love QOTSA but I hate memes
>>61007169
>Les keeps mentioning in interviews that Oysterhead might tour again
>No news actually comes up
