Ok /mu/, I've been asked to find some music suitable to be played at my grandmother's funeral. She was born in the 30s so I'm not going to play any popular music, plus I don't think any lyrics could ever fit the situation, so preferably classical music. I've had a few ideas, but they're very limited - was wondering if I could get some advice/suggestions. Something nice and miserable would be good.

Some Esbjörn Svensson Trio tracks:
The Second Page, Semblance Suite In Three Or Four Movements Part I, Reminiscence Of A Soul, Carcrash, Ballad For The Unborn, Behind The Stars

Iiro Rantala's album "Lost Heroes" has some fitting solo piano pieces, Iiro Rantala String Trio's album "Anyone With A Heart" has a few good ones.

Coil - Batwings (A Limnal Hymn)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW48ldu1RJM
>>
>>61004636
>>61005945

only read the title of the thread and posted that song. would seem insane if you actually played that at her funeral.

"to keep the darkness sealed within"

horrible taste. my bad OP.
>>
>>61004636
Just play/have them play some classical piano pieces.
>>
>>61006065
It's OK mate. At least I like Coil. Just a bit too intense for normies at a funeral to get into.

>>61006171
Which compositions do you suggest?
>>
play the Monster Mash
>>
>>61006236
>play the Monster Mash
This is genius.
