I'm not saying Metalcore is a bad genre, there are a fair number of great artists in the genre (a lot of mathcore is really good) but by no means is BMTH a remotely good band. They're part of the reason the genre has a bad name.

Yeah, mathcore's great. I probably like it a lot because I love mathy metal, and breakdowns happen to sound pretty good in 5/4 and 13/8.
I dunno, BMTH's one of those bands where my dislike for them is intensified into hatred because of their fanbase. It's a personal thing, really.
