Also don't know if you saw my post in a previous thread but I really enjoy your work too - it reminds me of the winter, almost arctic setting that Biosphere creates with his work (his more drone-focused work rather than his downtempo stuff).

>>60986636
Whoa, really like this. I find you're aesthetic as a whole really cool, and the songs are very engaging. Cormac McCarthy is probably my favorite track on there, and I can definitely see the parallels between his writing and the sort of simultaneously violent and pensive mood you have going on throughout. Maybe it's just because you're UK but I'm also reminded of 28 Days Later. Downloaded and reccing for sure.
>>60986941
>>60986962
I enjoyed this, strong Sufjan Stevens influence, but sounds a little darker. The way the instruments come together creates a distinct mood that definitely matches the cover art. Also very impressive how good you are with each instrument. Favorite track is Ewer.
>>60986732
Interesting sounds. This sounds more like ambient than hip hop to me, but the influence is clear. Reminds me of some of Dalek's spoken word tracks. Everything seems cohesive, slower moody stuff like this just isn't really my thing. I did really like the song "haha" though.

Reminds me a bit of Basinski and I don't care if that is a true comparison. I like the subtlety of this track, really going full on the silence and ambience. Minor nitpic - try to mix your tracks just a tiny bit higher. It's not a big complain but I couldn't listen to this track on my speakers on medium volume settings. Either than that - a good start. I hope your EP will be a bit more varied.
>>60986705
I can't recall if I've listened to your stuff before, but this is beautiful! I really appreciate the space created by the sparsity of the piano in the second. Absolutely wonderful!
>>60986865
Glad to see there's a new EP! I enjoyed your release on Cellar Door Tapes! I'm really digging the nonchalance of the first track, especially the bass line. I'll grab a copy when I get home tonight.
>>60986962
Love your stuff, as always man!
>>60987127
Excited for the upcoming release! This is a great track, very groovy. The vocals could have a little bit more presence (like a dry cut layered over the top of what you have? I dunno). The distortion at the end of the track is pretty awesome, too. Can't wait to hear what everything else sounds like.
>>60987285
I'm really enjoying this. I agree with Epiglottis on the loudness. I turned my volume up in anticipation and it's sitting at a setting that's usually pretty loud for normally-levelled tracks.
I appreciate your use of white noise in contrast to your actual pads. Can't wait to hear more!

>from the bandcamp thread that basically died
I dug this the most when it was going against the expected form of instrumental electronic music. For example, Lost Club Jam was amazing with that (reversed?) beat in the beginning with the various hits now and then--it felt aggressively repetitive--but when you added more layers it transformed it into something more predictable.
The MJ remix was pretty cool until the original overpowered the remix. It's such an iconic song that any place where you let the form out it blows any changes you've made out of the water--in my opinion.
2sQuared side was decent but it didn't grab my attention like some of the stuff on the Horror House side. It seemd less grounded and focused, to me. I liked the last track though, it was corny enough to make it fun.
I hope this makes sense. this genre isn't my main genre so I'm approaching it as a newbie. I thought you did some interesting things in here and I look forward to more stuff you put out

That really means a lot man, thank you so much! Too bad there's an infinite sea of bedroom ambient producers.
Your music is really cool! Your engineer did a fabulous job with the mix, as well. I really enjoy the first and third tracks on this EP. You do a very good job at using the pacing and drumming to get the exact emotion you want, I wish my band as a whole (separate from my work as The Ambiguity) did a little better job at that, but we've only been going at it for a month and a half. I look forward to hearing more from you!
>>60988759
I think me and The Ambiguity have same tastes for something good. I just love post-punk and post-hardcore so immediately I got hooked in. Really nice, varied structures can be heard thought out this EP. It has this really original-esque vibe to it and it stands out from other creations of this kind. It's a good feeling to find something really nice and fresh in those threads once in a while.
The artwork is just bloody awesome too!

New album literally just released! Recorded over a few months period and stitched together from different parts using a Talk Talk ethos (hence the obvious homage in the cover), it incorporates many genres to culminate in what I think is my most ambitious, emotive, and convincing project to date. I took cues from jazz and folk artists in order to create a strong sense of atmosphere. I would love feedback, cheers x

From what I've heard, I really enjoyed the first few tracks. Great, snappy percussion sound with pretty hypnotic structures and additions. I'm less of a fan of the chopped up vocal sample stuff, though I can appreciate the abrasive sound you were going for and I like the glitch aspects. I think you can afford to be more ambitious with structuring these pieces, because once you got over the screwed up sampling the actual progressions are pretty uninspired. I'd use your current tools to create something more ambitious and innovative.

Thanks a ton for the rec, checked out your track - I really appreciate the slow pulsing that it does. Those small little sounds in the background makes all the difference. Agree with your other two feedbackers though that the mix as a whole should be a little louder.
