pls
Heading For The Door:
Clear a path into the room
And pushing everything off of the table
Crashing on the floor
People start staying
Glasses in the air
And the television through the widow
Stumbling through the crowd
I was heading for the door
Remembering a cooler party
The angels started in song
There was something in their eyes
Their time was standing still
Topical Solution:
The hands had been...
Where we ????
To turn it on
Or turn it up
Maybe ???
Turn it off
When it gets too late
And the heat is toxious(?)(Not a word!)
The air is on fire
The hands had become
???
So rock out, rock out
Rock out, rock out
Bid all the kids farewell
The ??? story
The ship ???
The magazines
We all turn up
To ??? crazy
???
???
Dogs bark
And the wheels of the wagon
Turn on, and turn out
In your hair
I can see the topical solution
And no one ???
(Did my best, sorry!)
>>60974981
I'm serious dammit there is an archived website with all the damn lyrics
The Landing:
Drunk with hope
For the better things
The gears all froze
For the millennium
The same moon as
The wrong kiss
South, down, east, left, out
>>60975086
but where's it at playa
Get the dutch.
our accents come and go with nerves and a healing heart / escapism creeps into our recipes / they said "we make friends just to have more projects" / we make friends just to turn them into enemies
operations.
Me and the birds.
all the high-fashion freaks sway in sync with the rhythm / back and forth, back and forth / all the pill connoisseurs and the secret saboteurs got the fever for surveillance and the night life / me and the birds
Travelogue.
go forth / sorting dreams of truth, friends, should i / or should i not scheme forward on this beaten path / sit and play / framing days, thoughts and games, slipping through the ranks with a long cold look / the phantom facing me
Cooking.
while people on the phone / and talking to each other / while people on the phone / and talking to each other / dreams come back / later in the day
>>60975086
Link it then. Jesus.
>>60975121
Uh, yeah. Contemporary Movement's lyrics are printed in the digipak. Stratosphere's are not.
Unrecovery.
jack enmipho had the stuff / but he couldn't get up / so he decided to stay / he was reelin south bound / with the walls turnin round / ready or not, here it comes
The breakup suite.
it's a ghost town, dreaming in footprints / can't leave a healthy well, so poison and escape / the soundtrack for then is a taxi for now / cover up with the shadows, sleeping on the floor / god damn i wish i was a little bit smarter / to be the futurebound, we'll try rewound / i wish i was a little bit smarter / can i be her true love, a concentrator / and a circuit in your lullaby, a conferencing enemy
Everything you see (is your own.)
mouse mover, suffering / the empire's dust (by human hands) / reconstruct your little heart / microtones and carousels / tapping the lines / bugging the veins (leaver)
Now it's coming back.
remember to feel your hand / and what it's like to say your name / in my mother's house / we knew each other / now it's coming back / the sense of things / time goes by so fast / and things change all the time
Auto-mobile.
the lighting is modern and bright / broken amplifiers echo songs out of tune / and the stars take their place, whispering come to me / the audience finds their feet / clap and scream / but what does it mean
Do you have any more from Stratosphere? thanks for posting
>>60975135

>>60975160
I will post everything I have from Stratosphere. Sorry, I have to do it one by one.
>>60975055
>>60975081
>>60975108
THANK YOU PLEASE CONTINUE
>>60975194
<3 <3 <3
thanks!
Echo, Bravo:
It's ???
Like before
I've lost the way
It had to be
It's alright
Without you
And I'll make it up...
(Not 100% on these)
>>60975086
post it pham
So did the guy with Hier Kommt Der Schwartze Mond ever get a full scan of the cover from his library?
Constellations:
We are coming
Constellations
From here to the lights (?)
Down, out again
????
Turn down the lights
Turn off the lights...
Won't this ever last? (?)
Gold Dust:
>>60975135
Found it but can't link b/c spam.
Go to Duster's wikipedia page
Click on Up Records
Click on artists, Duster
Scroll to bottom, click on comprehensive fan site
Click the S at the top
Inside Out:
Will I be able to speak
After a stiff drink?
Will it break my panic?
Would the sweat stop pouring out?
Slow and deliberate
With her words
She'll walk through
My heart
Those eyes like a fire
In my stomach
Fall apart
From the inside-out.
(My favorite lyrics on the album, completely accurate!)
>>60975344
not every song is on there but it is legit
>>60975347
Dude, yes. Probably my favorite song in general. Like just holy fuck, I don't know how I overlooked this one so hard my first several rounds with this album.
>>60975344
Click on the www.uprecords etc in the wikipedia page for the archive
>>60975344
Cool. I'll keep posting mine for fun, though.
Reed To Hillsborough:
Light it up, breathe it in
You know they say we'll live again
Needle down, candles on
My favorite cup and a hi-fi stereo
Everything's not so bad
It's the way home should be
The way the windows frame the trees
And smoke fills the room
Colder now, than last year
You know they say we'll all be dead
Needle down, needle in
>>60975344
idk why but i get a blank page at the website at up records
>>60975303
official one:
we are carrying
constellations
put it to rest
tell her again
pour it out
no ?? 'til then
turn down the lights
don't hang around
now is ??
>>60975426
Oh, and I'll add that those lyrics on the fansite are very obviously not official. Some of mine are more complete.
So these don't seem to be "about" anything in specific, right?
Shadows of Planes:
Shadows of planes
Flying overhead
Overhead projection
Nightcrawlers in the sky
>>60975492
Heading For The Door is about bailing on a party you don't belong at.
Inside Out is about being too shy to talk to a girl you're in love with, and wondering if alcohol would help.
Reed To Hillsborough is about smoking pot in the place you feel most at home.
>Check out Stratosphere on the official record label site
>I've had the wrong tracklisting all along
Earth Moon Transit:
It's dark around me now
And cigarettes are fine
I wonder if you think
About me like I do of you at night
And who will write the hits
With bowie back on earth
It's in the way
It's in the way
(Okay, I cheated. Theirs were way better than mine.)
>>60975550
This is why Reed To Hillsborough is probably my favorite song lyric-wise on this album. Everything from "my favorite cup" to the end of that first verse makes me feel so relaxed and at peace.
how come i cant access the site is it because I'm canadian :(
The Twins / Romantica:
From the healing sky
A thousand shining diamonds hanging
Like the sparkles in the glasses on New Year's Eve
Sparkling
Romantica
What has happened to us?
What will happen to the vampire cult?
Better off at home tonight
For when we get company
Undress
Strand by strand
Calling out gently to the twins
The twins call out to the freaks
All the world
So spellbound
(My all time favorite SONG on the album. I am absolutely confident in these lyrics. Fansite's are way off.)
>>60975447
>Needle down, needle in
Hmmmmmm
>>60975643
I can't not hear "From the evening sky." Is it seriously not that
>>60975654
Yeah, I've always wondered... Maybe a little heroin innuendo?
I also have tabs for some of these. No way will I be able to post them tonight, though; sadly.
Doing God's work
>>60976198
I mean, I just spent like two days listening to this album nonstop with the vocal's EQ'd really loudly. It seemed like a waste not to share what might be halfway-decent lyrics.
Thanks, guys.
If any of you were here in the other duster thread when I (attempted) to upload scans of their album sleeves, yo.
I really have nothing to contribute to this conversation.
>>60975999
Oh shit, please share! I've tried to learn some of these by ear but I think they use some weird tunings and layering because it's hard to nail down.
>>60976426
Oh, Abheben in Stereo off of Heir Kommt Der Schwartze Mond:
flying out
at the speed of light
returning, plus one
to see ourselves
touching down
>>60976447
Well, I can tell you the tunings aren't completely weird.
I go 1 full step down for the whole album, and then use a capo when they play in standard or 1/2 step down.
Echo, Bravo for one, is a full step down, with the 6th string dropped to C.
Chords aren't completely crazy either. If you have a good ear, you'll be surprised what you can do.
>>60975999
>>60976447
But to be cool, I will post my chords for Heading For The Door before I go to sleep.
Standard tuning.
Intro is an arpeggio C.
Verses are D, A, B, C#, repeated.
Pre-bridge thing is D, B, A.
Bridge/End thing is Bb with a quirky arpeggio pattern, then to F, leading into G with every other time it repeats. End on F.
Lots of arpeggios. Listen carefully in the end part. Other than that, it's a breeze.
>>60976592
>>60976851
thanks man. have a good night
>>60975586
I kinda love when I do that. It changes the whole experience once you find out.
I had a cdr of Deja Entendu ripped from Kazaa and it was super out of order and once I found out, I actually preferred the out of order version.
ayyyy. I'm listening to that song right now
>>60977009
What order was it in anon?
I'd like to give it a whirl
duster has the best fanbase out of any band i know.
>>60975450
Fucking spam filter

Not my bag/kinda shitty tier:
Calm- anything
>Clay and Dove between Mohinder and Duster, mid-paced fuzzed out space rock instrumentals
Caanan Amber (Dove solo)
and any other bands Dove was in without the other two.
Helvetia is my favorite band. They are still around today and have put out a ton of great records, but the Duster influence mostly faded away.
Mohinder (Clay, Dove at the beginning) was blistering fast hardcore with weird tunings, impossibly precise starts and stops, paranoid lyrics and anguished vocals. They sounded incredible.
