i don't have any gear atm, but didn't realize korg put out a new sampler.. damn, i'm real tempted to get that now. used to have an electribe sampler and made a lot of cool stuff with it.

What's the best MIDI sequencer to use for external gear? Reason has problems outputting multiple channels, and I don't really like using Ableton for writing. I'm mostly using Logic, and I have Pro Tools, but I wanna know what else could work better.

I've used Logic for the same files and I don't have problems with it. Outputting from Reason doesn't trigger certain notes, but generally it only happens when I'm using 3 or more channels. If I solo a channel it works fine, and on one channel it can use 32 voices on the synth I'm using it with. I'm using OSX 10.10.5 the newest version of Reason 8, a Focusrite Saffire 40 and a Yamaha TG33. I've swapped cables as well. Again, I'm fine with Logic, I just wanna know if Cubase or Cakewalk or something is better for external gear.

The Volca Beat is probably worse generally. It has a decent set of sounds, but i think the snare is garbage. You can put whatever onto the Sampler, so I think overall its a bit more useful
I don't see any pedals up in this place. Let me fix that.
