I'm very new to The Cure's material. Where should I start? What is their best album? Noteworthy tracks?
like any band, start with their first album and work your way up until you find what you connect with the most
there's a song on seventeen seconds called "in your house" that's really good u should listen to that and also all of the albums they made in the 80s
Start with disintegration. Don't bother with Pornography (mediocre gothic rock). Stick to their pop stuff,.

>avoiding Three Imaginary Boys
For what reason?
OP here, I'm half way through Disintegration. A for the most part I'm really liking it. Wasn't too excited about Closedown, Last Dance. But Pictures of You, Lovesong, and Lullaby were really great tracks

fuck your shit taste, cunt.
>>60953121
don't follow this chart at all. What fucking heathen made this shit
Just start with their first album OP. work your way up from there, i did years ago and its very rewarding. especially listening linearly through 3 imaginary boys, 17 seconds, faith, and then pornography
Noteworthy tracks
Burn (Movie Soundtrack To ‘The Crow’)
Charlotte Sometimes
Pictures Of You
Happy the man
A Few Hours After This
Start with Head on the Door, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, and Disintegration in that order.
>If you like HOTD most
Listen to Japanese Whispers and Wish onwards.
>If you like KMKMKM most
Listen to whatever the hell you want, that album is pretty much Robert Smith in a single album.
>If you like Disintegration most
Listen to the pre-Top albums and Bloodflowers. Also, you're like most people if you fit in this category.
Some albums of theirs are very hit or miss, namely The Top, Wild Mood Swings, and 4:13 Dream, but even so those albums still have their ambitions. The Top is easily as psychedelic as The Cure's music gets, Wild Mood Swings sees the band adopt more brass and string ensembles, and 4:13 Dream, for better and worse, is probably the band's most youthful and exuberant release to date.
