Math-Metal, just have some extremely technical extremely heavy instrumental with butt-fuck crazy drums.

Big Band Blues or Funk-Blues, probably exists but I haven't heard it.

Elaborate anon, what is Caverncore?
>>
darkwave polka
>>
>>60952469
It's a thing in death metal these days to produce albums in such a way as to make them sound like they were recorded in a cave. They do this through lo-fi production, thick distortion and reverb. See bands like Ulcerate, Antediluvian, Mitochondrion, and Portal.
>>
>>60952469
Caverncore isn't even a real genre, it's just a term /metal/ general made up to describe very atmospheric, low quality, hollow death metal.

all caverncore either falls under some variant of death-doom or black death.

>>
>>60952638
>>60952658
It's unconventional production for sure and some caverncore has some dissonant tech death riffs, and almost all caverncore has progressive song structures.

It's kind of borderline post-. Compared to something like Leprosy, it's totally off the wall, but its influences are very clear and have mostly been around since the early 2000s

>>
>>60952795
"tribal shoegaze" pretty much exists. Traditional african music is like minimalist music but more focused on droning vocals, call and response, and thick heavy multiple complex layers of percussion. So its like shoegaze but more focused on drums
>>
>>60949769

>Post-avant Jazzcore
>>
>>60952658
I sort of have two definitions for it
The first is metal that has elements of post-metal, aka the atmosphere and the crescendoes.
The second is metal that is more based around the roots of post-rock, like using extended technique on guitars, having strange song structures, unusual instrumentation, etc.
