this fucking guy. david raposa. it's like he has only listened to michael buble for his entire lifespan and then suddenly gets hired to write reviews on freaky portland afrobeat albums. his style of reviewing consists of nothing but ham-fisted comparisons that don't really go anywhere. e.g. "sounds like [...] one of the trumpet players dropped a bookcase on his foot"
to round it all up, our dear david has done no fucking research whatsoever on the musicians he is reviewing, which makes him look like a complete idiot. fuck you david raposa

this guy, without any shame, calls the album he's reviewing "boring". can you get any lazier? in the same sentence he calls the album "ascetic" and "not quite minimal". makes a lot of sense, huh. as impressively bad as it is, it's not really a surprise that this review features one of the absolute worst sentences i've ever read:

maybe i'm just salty but it kinda seems like he takes a bit of pride in his ignorance. is it impossible for him to listen to their metal albums and find out if they are a "solid metal band" or not? i shouldn't get so upset about things that matter so little but it just irks me that a website that shapes the taste of millions of people can be this unprofessional

Yeah he's great, his lyricism can be a bit cheesy at times, but he's still on of the most interesting rappers I've ever heard, in the best way possible.
