It took me a while but the first time I properly `got` this album then whilst it was playing I couldn't stop laughing. It was absolutely amazing, one of my most enjoyable listening experiences ever.

Can't say I go back to it much now though; however, Safe as Milk, it's like being in a dusty bar in the Firefly Universe and listening to some crazy mutant blues. Ist gut.

The long version of Kandy Korn is a serious trance.

In John French's book about him there are a few bits and pieces alluding to the fact that he may have had: Actual Magic Powers.

A documentary about him was on tv once and my mate took such exception to it that he demanded it be switched over. I really wanted to watch it and said no. It ended up with us both wrestling on the floor trying to win possession of the tv remote. This went on for quite a while, I can't remember who won though, we were both pretty drunk.
