I'll probably be the only person in here to not ride your cock: This is pretty stupid. There is a certain art to making super short songs and you haven't succeeded at it. Listen to some Agoraphobic Nosebleed and try again.

>>60934427
I don't really enjoy this kind of stuff but I do appreciate how you formatted your bandcamp release so that it plays like a cassette.

>>60934500
This is pretty cool as far as ambient stuff goes. The fact that the first and last song both have some element of percussion is probably what makes you so proud of them. Ambiance and atmosphere are much more successful when there's some semblance of rhythm to support them. Not to say your other tracks are devoid of rhythm, but drums = structure and accessibility.

>>60934620
Cannot recc this enough. I ride this guys musical dick like there's no tomorrow but that's because it really is that good. I'm not just pretending to like it so that the other assbangs in here will think I have good taste.

>>60934793
This is pretty solid. A little Cure-esque. Seems much more post-punk to me than emo but I guess they're not unrelated. Anyway solid songwriting, good production, nothing wrong with it really.

The scene in my area is great if you like indie rock or grind. NH has a surprisingly large and good grind scene. There is no scene for what I'm trying to do though which makes finding band members tough.

to be honest my goal was to make something really fucking stupid inbetween the time I spend learning how to make better produced songs and becoming less shitty at guitar. this was just something i did in 2 hours because I was bored. If you're interested in checking out a somewhat more serious attempt (but obviously still flawed) release of mine, check out my EP Plenty Crisp.

anyways, I peeped some of your stuff, and your instrumentation was pretty fucking sick. Some of your vocals (the more freak folkish vocals?) sounded a little weird, but it might've just been your mic, so it's still good.
>>
>>60935372
thanks for checking it out. I'm curious, what parts did you think sounded freak folkish? I don't listen to that type of stuff at all so I'd be interested to know what parts you heard that way. I did want the vocals to be weird though because metal vocals only come in like 3 flavors these days.

New album literally just released! Recorded over a few months period and stitched together from different parts using a Talk Talk ethos (hence the obvious homage in the cover), it incorporates many genres to culminate in what I think is my most ambitious, emotive, and convincing project to date. I took cues from jazz and folk artists in order to create a strong sense of atmosphere. I would love feedback, cheers x

I've always wondered, do you guys ever tour/play live as Savage Hippy?

>>60934500
Agreed with the comments about the percussion. The synth tone is p cool and crisp, kinda reminds me of something from like an underwater documentary.
Couple of notes..
The drums come in a bit loud on the second track. If they were mixed a little quieter that would help.
The hissing on the third track's intro is nice. Overall, longer tracks or combining the tracks you've already got into longer compositions would better display your ideas. A general expansion/elaboration, if you get what I mean.
The photography you're doing is nice too. I always like non-representational stuff

>>60935014
Miles of Broken Monitors is a very provocative title. I think the very minimal aesthetic you're going for is intriguing as well, usually vaporwave is a lot more cluttered.

>>60937624
8 euro is a bit much for a tape. The voice on Captured by Aliens is almost legit triggering..

>>60937115
This is some nice comfy noise so far. Lots of dirty sounding humming, like being in the back of a small plane. The sound that comes in just after 3.00 would have benefited from coming in a little earlier, but that's nitpicking. Overall this is a good length release.

>>60935533
I really want to listen to this, but the huge track lengths are putting me off. Maybe if I get some time tomorrow.

I love how chill this is, I'm always of a fan of shoegaze bands that can apply heavy fuzz but not sound overly aggressive (depends of course). Reminds of a long ago summer day.

>>60937632

This is very interesting, I haven't heard jazzy post rock for a while. Really strange, otherworldly feel to it. I'm a huge fan of Ascended, sounds crazy good when the distorted guitar starts coming in. Now that I'm thinking of it, it reminds me a good amount of Red Sparowes! Downloaded this album.

>>60934982

I'm a really big fan of this as well. I like the really doomy/droney feel of Secret Room, kind of like Mono. The more ambient tracks are nice, but I think I prefer it when you have a driving beat to be working on top of (personal preference). Also personal preference, I was waiting for a really big Mono type explosion in Secret Room, but maybe that's because I have shitty taste in post rock?

>>60941436
yeah the recording quality and how it works with the pristine-to-the-point-of-goofiness synths is something I'm working on for the next release. Honestly I'm happy with how confusing and divisive the vocals seem to be. Metal is sorely lacking in vocal variety so I mostly just wanted them to be different, without worry as much about whether they were "good" in the normal, expected way.

But thanks for taking the time to listen and putting some thought into your response.
