I'd say act IV is a substantial departure from the previous acts; whereas 1-3 were obviously influenced by post-hardcore and the hybrid genre termed "post-prog" (which is unsurprising given Casey Crescenzo's background), 4 is more influenced by indie rock and pop.

That's their worst album. If you want a good TDH album that's different from the rest than go with Color Spectrum.

I don't think it's that bad, it's just a commercial simple indie rock/pop album. I recced Migrant because I could hear a bit of its sound on Act IV.

I'll second The Color Spectrum. If you do listen to it, know that there's two versions of it. One is 11 tracks and is a sampler, more or less, and the other is 9 EPs. Make sure to peep the entire thing if you just start off with the 11 track album.

That's surprising to me. In Cauda Venenum sounds like it could be ripped from Act II. IV just seems like a less angry album.
