Well he does seem Dickinson, it is very hard to know how such a price hike affects the consumer. At the time I don't believe any generic of this drug was around, making it highly likely that most major insurances covered the drug. Additionally, if you are living with aids I would imagine you are hitting your out of pocket maximum every year already. So really I imagine that other than affecting insurance companies bills this had little impact on the consumer...and if it does the consumer simply needs to request their doctor that the generic which now exists be prescribed instead.
