when im on acid i cant listen to music because there are so many sounds going on in the room that i focus on. i could spend half an hour listening to the air ventilation and then spend another half an hour trying to figure out what i want to play, and then this repeats until the trip is over
also does anyone else feel like the awful body high makes it hard to enjoy the trip

god i hate this band.

>band
you're doing it wrong
>>60901326
Pretty much this. It does not fucking matter what you listen to because there is so much more to enjoy. I listened to track 1 from hotline miami 2 soundtrack for 4 hours on repeat, not because I wanted to but because it really doesn't matter.
Also bad body high is from low grade acid I think? I've never had anything the sort. Are you sure you're not just hungry or something

Yeah, it did for me. But then again, my "body high" just made me feel like I had to poop and puke at the same time, but couldn't do either.
>>60901692
I think this is common. The bloated feeling I had when I was tripping was part of the reason I stopped eating meat.
It made me realized that I felt just as bloated when I was sober.
Also, I recommend you poop good before you dose.

These guys get it.
If you're a classicalfag, I STRONGLY suggest you fix some ears on some Scriabin etudes and let it take you to another plane of existence.

I listened to some of these etudes once when I was on a quarter of fresh shrooms, sitting on a boardwalk on Cape Cod with a friend at 2 AM, watching the tides go our from a marsh. It struck me down to my core instantly and I started crying with joy. I've never been the same since. AMAZING stuff.

Damn fine.
I recommend this particular recording.

Just listen to Jimi Hendrix. Impossible to go wrong with Jimi when tripping.
Preludium Nuit by Golden Leap is also a very good album. Well made and which have a dystopian feel about it.
>>60900717
Blood Mountain, or pretty much anything by Mastodon.
Only listen if you want to transcend.
plan all you want, it'll all go out the window as soon as you've started tripping.

This. Hendrix pulls me out of my bad trips every fucking time. I was freaking the fuck out once and I put on Voodoo Child Slight Return. Halfway in and I felt like a million bucks.
Ott - Skylon
Darkside - Psychic
Bardo Pond - Amanita
Mercury Rev - Yerself is Steam
Flaming Lips - Embyonic
Have something chill like Bonobo if things get to crazy

Can't go wrong with classical music. I listened to Mahler's fifth on acid once. It was like being thrown into an existential court, having all my vices played before my eyes, jury witnessing.
Another time I went with Pink Floyd's "Animals". Very good.
Next time, I want to try "Be" by Pain of Salvation.

I was also going to rec that one ambient album which basically sounds like field recordings from the arctic, but I totally forgot the name of it. anyone?

I know the cover of the album you are talking about but I can't remember the name
>>60906197
Right on. Mahler is another timeless god of western art music. I always found his symphony no. 2 the most jaw dropping but no.5 is more mature and deep.
on acid i loved these
>unknown mortal orchestra
>jimi hendrix
>tame impala
>ravi shankar
>the beatles
just avoid dark stuff and it should be k
>>60906744
>avoiding "dark stuff" while on LSD
The whole point of being on LSD is to bring yourself right to the tipping point of sanity but not fall over... why not embrace the void and its closeness and listen to some Coil?
>>60906827
i'll try next time
tame impala does the trick with me tho

Guys I recently went through a really rough time and it still lingers occasionally. I thought I had schizophrenia at one point and it passed
But if I were to do shrooms, would the effects trigger some kind of mental illness, ala brian Wilson and Syd barrett?
