I don't think I would call Currents the album of the year for me, personally I don't even know what would be this year has just been so disappointing. The new Modest Mouse album was a massive disappointment, as was the new Built to Spill. I guess that if I were to name an album of the year it would be Beach Sounds or CREAM WAVE. New Front Bottoms was pretty shit although I didn't expect much from them and The Wonder Years was ok for being pop-punkish. I was hoping to see a release from The Wrens because hes been teasing that shit on his facebook page for years but still nothing, oh well maybe next year

Nah I think he has a point, I like to smoke and listnen to music and I do find I enjoy music a lot more when I'm high but if music can't be enjoyed sober then I find I won't really enjoy it high either. Really all the music that I like I'll like when I'm both sober and high, if something doesn't sound good sober it probably isn't good

Not him btw, but Angry Kid is painfully long. Jonathan said he handled the mixing to ensure it provides a certain feel that cant really be felt or heard when sober. I mean, if he did it all himself i feel the artist's wishes should be respected. I listened to it high and it was like a beautifully painted story i will listen to it again but desu not when im sober. Its really far too long to sit through the whole thing sober. Most of the songs themselves are like six or seen minutes thats the thing. Im not saying youve obviously never smoked weed, but youve obviously never smoked weed to Angry Kid.
