Not bad! I'd say make the kicks tighter so the ducking is quicker so the synth comes in a bit sooner on the first track. Also, I'm curious as why you chose to keep an error on the second track. The second track pulls together really nicely around the 1:30 mark, but the first half bores me (despite how little room I have to talk about boringness or repetitiveness). The last track is pretty cool, reminds me of a guy named adoptahighway from Milwaukee.
>>60882913
I totally hear your dub influence in this, but I'm not really sure what to say about this besides that. I don't know hip hop that well. The last half of tabula rasa is really awesome, though.
>>60882952
I've heard Gossamer before, but it's a really, really awesome track. It has those nice clear reverbs and delays that couple nicely with the grit of the drums.

Hi there!
You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!
Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

New album literally just released! Recorded over a few months period and stitched together from different parts using a Talk Talk ethos (hence the obvious homage in the cover), it incorporates many genres to culminate in what I think is my most ambitious, emotive, and convincing project to date. I took cues from jazz and folk artists in order to create a strong sense of atmosphere. I would love feedback, cheers x

Fair enough. more contribution is needed and I will try to do that in the future, myself.
But also a community has different sides and people contribute in different ways, at different paces. Some people are pretty active on Soundcloud or w/e. I'd rather just see music posts so I can easily scroll and listen than to see some forced exchange that feels like "now, let's all share what we think of _____". Soundcloud is great for that. Soundclick used to be pretty cool when it had message boards.

Hey, thanks so much for the rec. Glad you like the music so much. Have to admit that I hadn't yet checked out your music... until now. I still haven't listened to that much but midway through track five after listening to four, I am really enjoying it. This is ambient done right. Great, mystical, dark, intriguing soundscapes and song structures. I'm absolutely downloading Adventures of a Letdown and will also be checking out the rest of your large catalog.
>>60883385
I listened to this quite a while back. Interesting unique sound, a very intriguing one at that. And the new album idea you have sounds really intriguing, I'm a huge fan of any type of sampling so for a concept like that I'll be on the lookout.

High energy, great production all around. Unfortunately I really dislike that vocal style, but that's personal preference. There's a gigantic audience for the type of stuff your putting out though, so absolutely keep it up
-Pleasance House
>>60885146
Love the guitar on the opening track. It reminds me of growing up in Ohio for some reason. The rhythm section really comes out on the bridge. This has a cool vibe. Dig the combination of anthemic gang vocals and pretty pop sounding (meant as a compliment) lead. Cool use of the sample and good memorable lyrics on track 2. Much welcomed variety on the third song.
The power trio thing is working for you guys. Keep it varied and don't be afraid to experiment!

You'll hear width through monitors, not headphones. I run into the same thing with my headphones, so I keep things pretty close to center and create width through panning as a form of layering, if that makes sense. I can't tell, but my friend with monitors can.
>>60891148
Makes sense actually. I didn't actually pan anything. Like, at all. Interesting
>>60891273
Invest in a nice set of cans and a good set of monitors. Avoid using stereo widening plugins absentmindedly, put them there with a purpose (and don't use them to widen bass at all, really).
>>60891315
Thanks for the advice. I do use a plugin because I was trying to give some consistency to each track's sound but yeah it might be too much/undesirable

A really dirty sound. It's neat but I wish there was a more prominent beat, but I understand it's intentional that it sounds like distorted waves of sound - something to get lost in. It's neat but I think I'd have to be in the right mood for it.
>>60882952
This sounds amazing - reminds me a lot like some of my favourite ambient artists like Julien Neto and maybe some very stripped-back Solar Fields. Really impressed with this and I want to hear more. Gossamer and Amber are just delightful to hear. Phantasmagoria sounds like some mellow Aphex Twin stuff, like Flim or IZ-US. Really impressed

This has some really good beats, man. Some really pretty like on the self-titled track and some funky and unique sounding like BLASTphemy and Standard Love Story. I kinda dig your voice, I know the voice sounds whiney at times but I think it works to provide a more distinctive sounding voice
