Probably, for better or worse. He's a great singer, but he also spawned a ton of shit in the form of people trying (and horribly failing) to copy his style.
Also, that's the sexiest picture of Vedder I've ever seen.
>>60868615
literally who
>>60868615
Scott Weiland copycat

Eddie Vedder with sagging pants and shadows obscuring his face.

This
Never before in pop music have so many people ripped off one person
>>60868615
I wouldn't say so. I can't really prove you wrong, but you also haven't proved yourself right. I'd prolly say Bob Dylan or Elvis or Frank Sinatra of Ray Charles, but I know nothing about nothing

oh i misread OP as frontman instead of singer
I'd say Roger Mcguinn is up there. Pretty much every power pop band has copied his voice in some manner. His singing is pretty much the sound of Americana.

The worst Singer ever?
Sure

Hearing Scott Stapp say Creed sounds way different from Pearl Jam made me realize he's right as far as the instrumentals go, but the music is unbelievably worse

Anthony Kiedis is probably the most influential singer ever. prove me wrong
protip: you cant
>>60868615
You didn't provide any kind of information of your point of view so we can disagree and explain why we do it. Just posting a googled sexy picture of a human being doesn't make him the best.
It's true that after boom of grunge alot of people did try to copycat his style of singing. Besides most of ripoff clothing and hairstyle that was basically same in every grunge band.
Also, It did happen with Elvis way back then and he also "invented" the sexualmania in music.
I really prefer Freddie Mercury over alot of other good singers. His vocal range spanned over four octaves and delivered some eargasms. He had the stage presence of a million Liza Minellis put together. Both singing and presence style was and still is pretty unique. Guy sure knew how to work the crowd and make them go bananas in every single song.
Otis is a better contender imo. Essentially the foundation of contemporary R&B
>>60868615
Everyone started copying his deep voice

Most influential singer. PFFTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!
This guy right here or Sinatra
>>60874048
Louis Armstrong basically invented scat singing. I'd go so far to argue that without Mr. Armstrong rapping would not exist.
