Those Beefcake guys are absolute madmen
Been feeling generous with my scores recently.

Been meaning to listen to that George Harrison album for a really long time now, I might check it out tonight.

>3.5 means he doesn't like it
>>60856506
What didn't you like about the MMJ album? No criticism, just interested in your point of view.

Did we really need another version of The Wall? I love ya Roger but we now have 4 versions out there now!
>>60856550
I enjoy it but not so much to gave it more than 7 points

listening to the radigue gave me panic attacks
>>60856526

>>60856673
>listening to the radigue gave me panic attacks
Why is that? I thought it was very meditative and melancholy
>>60856656
>rating each live album separately as if they were different albums
>>60856630
why is my rym icon not as cool as yours
>>60856575
i disliked the entire "new age" feel of the album
to be honest, i expected an arabic folk album and i got dub techno instead
so that score somewhat reflects my massive disappointment
>>60856739
>so that score somewhat reflects my massive disappointment
>5/10
Epic.
>>60856695
I had a weird experience where I tried to focus in on it and then fell into a trance. Then suddenly things went all "can'twakeup.jpg" and I couldn't pull out right away.
>>60856671
I need to listen to some more albums by her. And revisit that one again, it can get better with a few more listens.
>>60856723
what does yours look like
>>60856739
Oh, I see. That makes total sense.
>>60856702
B-but they are different albums Anon.
>>60856765
it's not a "bad" album, mind you
the folk elements are still there and they are completely enjoyable
there's just way too much techno for my tastes
>>60856810
it has no "RYM" on it
>>60856856
only in packaging
tfw sick
someone bring me soup
Man I need to rate more stuff. I have like 7days+ of just 2015 releases most of which I haven't even listen to them once.

listen to this buddy
>>60857062
Thanks m8, will check it out.
had to re-rate both VU albums due to a fuck up, should actually be Surfer Rosa & Doolittle. They're 3,5 and 4.
>>60856614
seems you didn't enjoy the new Kurt Vile record, what did you think about his older stuff? Been meaning to give the new one a listen, but haven't got the time.
>>60857564
I think you fucked up again, you accidentally gave VU&N a 5

Jesus Christ guys chill. I wasn't implying that 3.5/5 was a bad rating, it isn't. I just wanted to know specifically what kept him from rating the album higher
>>60856335
>pink floyd and the beatles over dinosaur jr
but why
>>60857949
this isn't necessarily directed at just you, but i really do not get why people like that microphones album so much. i mean, i do "get" it but eh.
>>60858085
You have to have loved and lost to get it and have been depressed. Congrats on your life anon.
>>60858071
because they're better albums.
only thing I don't agree with is DN over You're Living, Daydream Nation is literal shite
>>60858085
It just really resonated with me on repeated listens (it's a bump from 3.5), I especially love the first half plus the production is fucking godly
>>60857860
s(o)un(d)beams is so much fun. The vocals are so so good. Thousand Knives is a bit overrated IMO, B-2 Unit is better
>>60856535
Trilogie de la mort is cool. L'Île Re-Sonante is my favorite Radigue.
>>60858173
(especially Tumblr)
>>60857778
I give 3 stars to things I wouldn't want to listen to
how triggered are you
>>60858113
that's....not true. i just don't find anything particularly engaging about it from a musical perspective. it's a bit homogenous for me. i will say that it starts off pretty strong though.
>>60858172
fair. that sort of production doesn't appeal to me as much, i suppose.
>>60858182
>s(o)un(d)beams is so much fun
yeah definitely. a really cheerful record.
Nothing too interesting.
>>60858113
>You have to 'x' to understand this music
Leave.

I actually like HAIM.
>>60858622
how he expresses it is sorta silly, but I think he has a point. The Glow pt. 2 is a very special and weird album that resonates very differently with different types of people. For me, that's an album I get lost in. It reinforces my feelings of wanting to just run away, leave society. Not much music makes me feel such strong things, and I generally can't describe albums with such precise emotions. So, I think it's very much a you get it/you don't type of situation. Very nontraditional.
>>60859251
why lol
>>60858572
Clinging is a great album
>>60859931
because they're good
>>60859622
You know what, I retract my previous statement; you're right.
What you said reminds me of relistening to "Yesterday" by The Beatles back in high school after my first break-up and it hit me harder than any song ever up to that point.
>>60857932
Was probably the first or one of the first times he's listened to it. DDN is a grower for most people.
>>60860142
That's true. The album didn't really stand out to me on first listen either, but it's now one of my favorites
