I'm not a huge Swans fan, and have only heard Soundtracks For The Blind and the two recent releases. Out of those three albums the song I come back to the most is Volcano. Do they have any other songs similar to this one?

The only Swans album I like is FIlth. Am I pleb?
So everytime I hear of swans they are painted to me as this extremely dark, defiant, experimental band. And I've listened to like 10 songs of theirs, all of which I like but they seem pretty standard to me.

have you listened to Public Castration or Soundtracks or The Seer? Different eras, all prety dark and definitely unconventional in their own way.
Anyone else heard the White Light remaster? What did you think of Song for dead time and that other jarboe song, I made a thread about this yesterday but obviously people ignored me as a jarboe hater.
The problem is that something is wrong in the remasters of those two songs, or does google music have just some fucked up version there? Different instruments are put up front and so on. Others songs have been altered too but only slightly.

I really hope someone answers this and can tell me if their version sounds ok or similar to the originals. I obviously don't have the cd yet and I don't use spotify. It's like the bass is too loud there and volume levels are fucked up. The other songs have been remastered fine.
On second thought the bass is too low on Song for dead time. Like those layered sounds in the back have been put too further back. I thought it might have been a mistake because google has Failure tagged as Faliure lol but i'm not sure. I'm also starting to consider whether my headphones are broken or something but they are not.
