It's an above average alt. rock album with nice effects littered throughout. Don't get me wrong, it all sounds "nice" but it sounds like it was recorded in a funeral parlor. It is that dead and lifeless and just void of substance. Thom Yorke's are just barely(BARELY) operating on the same wavelength as the rest of the instrumentation.
The best brit rock album, sure, but that ain't saying much darling.

Say what you want about this album but When The Levee Breaks was a game changer in drum's audio prduction, Black Dog is a god tier rock classic, Going to California is a 10/10 ballad, Battle of Evermore is god tier folk, and Stairway to Heaven is the definite embodiment of 70s rock of a perfect mixture of rock and folk with a touch of prog.
Also the fact that even when the critics called past Zeppelin albums trash and just a brand they released this without a title and name and is now one of the best sellers of all time. Only edgy contrarians who refuse to accept any mainstream critically acclaimed albums don't acknowledge the achivements and merits of this album.
