We all have fantasies, at least that's what this board is for. Has nothing to do with the real life though.

you've clearly never "experienced" music then
Got me into music
Got me into music

i don't know about chaining my life, but as far as having an impact on me as guitarist goes, id say:
Pink Lemonade - Closure in Moscow
The Bedlum in Goliath - Mars Volta
Periphery 2 - Periphery
Stadium Arcadium - RHCP
Got me into hiphop, not even kidding.
I was a "rockist" and dismised hiphop after hearing shitty artists like Eminem or whatever shitty hiphop people listen to and developed an opinion that all hiphop sounds the same. Then I noticed it labeled as "experimental hip-hop" and people saying it's great so I decided to try it, it was mind-blowing. Then I decided to check out some more conventional hip-hop albums hailed as great such as Illmatic or Midnight Marauders which I loved too.
Then also was Led Zeppellin II which convinced me that rock was the genre in which everything sounded the same all along, I always loathed led fucking zeppellin

it's because the money store is essentially a overdrive preset pop album that makes people like you feel like they're listening to something groundbreaking
this one
gold panda / lucky shiner
It made me want to start making music; its been a few years now since I've started and now pretty much everything in my life revolves around making tunes.
pg. 99 - Document #8
Made me realize it's almost impossible to tune my guitar low enough but I still don't wanna play bass.
Astral Weeks desu senpai

These albums made me feel that even more intensely then when I was actually a kid. I don't know how they pulled that off, but I can't thank them enough for their music.

You guys should be careful, you might cut yourselves on that edge
This album helped me through that phase in life where I loathed myself and everything around me. Where I couldn't help but find no purpose in life. This was the only thing between me and suicide. And I'm so thankful for that. Spiderland is a beautiful record, this album's emotional connection with me is more than just strong.

No matter how many people make fun of linkin park, I grew up listening to them. Their earlier albums were gener defining. New albums, though highly experimental, are nice from music production point of view.
Linkin park got me into music and is gonna be my favourite band forever.

...
Any Panda Bear album.
completely changed the direction i wanted to go with my solo project. i still aspire to write and produce for an atmospheric feeling similar to this.
also i think nujabes' music made me want to be a happier and friendlier person. i never totally got there but i'm very peaceful and non-confrontational now, and mostly contented with my simple life.
