>electronic musician
>get into conversation with some other musician
>he says he has to practice 24/7 but is managing to play perfectly
>was quite impressed, asked him what instrument he plays
>tells me "guitar"
>mfw
>wonder if he was being serious about his instrument being hard
>turns out he was
>instantly Iose respect for him

l assume there's a few guitarists on here, so I'm actually curious. Do you guys actually think your instrument is difficult or are you at the stage where you realise anyone could play twing twang "music"?
>>
nice bate, boyo
>>
lol it's really funny when guitar fags get mad that their instrument is just artificial difficulty. most "complex" guitar shit is just playing fast.

I actually agree with this.

I meet so many guitarists who unironically believe they are doing something difficult or impressive, when it's the easiest instrument to master.

Hell, I picked up my first guitar at 13 and mastered it before I was 14.

Its still a useful skill to have if you want to impress dumb underage girls, but if you like real ladies, put the autism stick down and learn how to make a good beat.

i play a sampler ask me anything

I agree. When I started "Producing electronic music" my dad said to me, "son, what's so special about what you do? You should go back to playing guitar, it's a lot more impressive, because not everybody can do it. When anybody can sit down and make something on the computer." So I went back to my room, grabbed my laptop, opened ableton, set it down in front of him and said "Okay, make me the next hot electronic hit." He just kinda stared at it and responded with "Anybody except me."

lmao you guys are a bunch of edm fags, go listen to little wing by Stevie ray Vaughn or cliffs of dover by eric johnson and tell me that theres no musicianship in guitar

nice b8 btw
>>
>guitar
>easy to master
kek

I think getting deeper into producing is hard but you have to be delirious if you think actually mastering any instrument is easy. Sure, guitar is fairly easy to get good at but mastering is complicated as fuck.

so you mastered guitar between 1 year?

learnt all the scales and modes and shit? got your microtones down?

Upload you playing some ragtime then, or John downland tunes

lol, It's a hard bro, performing this next week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3njePqByBcM
(btw this performance isn't even close to perfection)
This was semi-hard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSb0UB7sc3c
also some of Villa-Lobos' etudes for guitar are really hard (to master anyway) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mBehJJEIxs
I'll probably be able to play all of them next year (after years of practise)

And here I am, struggling with Horizons by Genesis.
Classical guitarists make me feel bad.
>>
>>60820545
What's a hard instrument then? I can't into guitar but I'm a compitent sax player and I find that super easy.
>>
What's it like to learn the accordion because that's what I'm interested in
>>
>>60823044
Fairly easy to get used to. I had one for some reason when I was in elementary school. I learned a few tunes on it fairly quickly. I already played a piano a bit so that helped.

Is it possible to self-teach yourself? What would you recommend for a beginner
