My mother gave me all her vinyl when I was young.
My father gave me his when he died.
I have nearly two thousand records.
Never played. colored, single press bullshit.
What do? I know I have a collection of early punk to turn skins black with envy. I'm not quite sure how to store them even...

Don't stack them vertically, avoid extreme temperatures (for example, an attic could get very cold in the winter), preferably keep them in plastic sleeves to protect the covers, but the ones in pic related looks pretty worn, so it's probably not much of a point by now.

They are stored horizantally, in filing cabinets and difficult to remove. I have a couple stacks on shelves, and I live in Arizona. So it tends to either be hot and humid or hot and dry.

Don't listen to this guy, basically anything that puts pressure on the records hurt them. The grooves are very small and delicate, so it doesn't take much to warp them.

Neddles are more important than players if you dont plan on getting all gorilla on em and ya just want to hear the music. Speakers, a decent amp and a good player would be optimal if ya got the cash. This amp works for me.
