*second-most
>>60811526
Absence is way less accessible
>>60811689
yea I was thinking of that one and the faust one but overall FFTOGAG has some sick fucking beats and static and distortions in comparison to the drone/noise going on in Absence
to each their own
Mostly due to length compared to his other albums

beaubourg tho

most inaccessible to the average pleb, true, but I always thought the beauty of it is despite how intricate it is and complex it must've been to put together it's actually very melodic and easy to enjoy. I was struck by it on first listen despite being a massive pleb at the time and it still hasn't lost any of its power over me.
Ruins - Tzomborgha
Picked it up randomly in a sharethread year ago, before rap or poptimism killed /mu/.
On the surface, it's kinda like Juno Reactor, upbeat, tribal-inspired, indecipherable lyrics, hints of math-rock. Then the off-rhythm beats hit, the detuned bass and stacatto guitars.
It's like an uncanny valley. Being close to regular music but not quite makes it bizarre and almost unlistenable. I've only just read the wiki page on the album and band, turns out it's a Japanese duo, except one half is bassists who stay for about two albums each.

All of Basement Jaxx's albums are pretty easy, I'll go with my second fav
>>60812074
Yeah I think it's more the concept that is off putting to most people, and the genre blending and lack of pop structure. It's actually beautifully simple and delicate when you break it down.
not counting colabs

It's funny, becasue neither of these is her least accessible
Still cant understand the appeal of this album personally.
>Katatonia
>inaccessible
I guess Tonight's Decision since the riffs are more abrasive than their usual standards and the choruses can be real gut-punches but honestly, it's not that challenging of an album. Katatonia is actually a pretty fucking easy band to get into.

listening to it for the first time now, pretty impressive, what don't you like about it?
>>60812033
best cover art though
>>60812819
I think its the amateurish sound of the album, compared to his later work. It literally is guys in a studio just fucking around. But i can appreciate how influential it is.
>>60811208
That and Biophillia are her best.
Anyone who says otherwise is a darn fool
>>60812891
Aaron you madman
>>60812891
Biophilia is her best but vespertine pushes medulla into third. sorry
>>60812908
You meant to post Ummagumma, right?
>>60812718
that one's fucking great though, the answer you'd be looking for is pic related anon

>>60812917
I can respect this but I must ask you where is the line wit u
Probs
>>60812926
I'd personally pick between Cosmogramma and You're Dead!
>>60812891
Agreed on Medulla, but I could never get into Biophilia.
>>60813002
I'd actually say A Thousand Leaves is a harder listen, but I dig the fuck out of CIS so what do I know?
Its like Comus on even more drugs.
>>60813015
No way, Cosmogramma is his most pleb-friendly.
>>60812435
songs about my cats is more inaccessible i think
probably this though (it's also their best)
