I enjoyed them. I know that the full band recordings will be much different though

The second one sounds like Nick Drake

I'm here to discuss music
>>
>>60810338
Both of them remind me of Go To Sleep
>>
>>60810526
I just prefer their guitar driven stuff more that's all.
>>
>>60810697
why?
>>
>>60810338
>thom hasn't changed his style and haircut for the new album

>>60810683
>Both of them remind me of Go To Sleep

This album will be TKOL tier skippable release, won't it?

songs sound very unradiohead...closest sounding songs in their catalog are, as one anon said, go to sleep, gagging order, and maybe something like follow me around. very folksy, and not solely because of the obvious acoustic guitar format. sounds a lot like neil young desu. I'm not too crazy about the lyrics in silent spring, they're unusually obvious for radiohead, but it the setting he's performing at makes sense for the debut of such a song. as for how these will translate to lp9, that's anyone's guess. the tkol solo debuts in 2010 were incredibly different from what landed on the album proper. current speculation is pointing toward lots of orchestration. needless to say I'm looking forward to the inevitable suprise drop of this album

what's yr screenname on Atease?
>>
>>60811004
im banned from atease so im stuck shuffling between reddit and mu for discussion, save me
>>
>>60811024
lmao banned for what? It's nigh impossible to get banned from there unless you post child porn, personal information or bomb threats.
>>
I like these, remind me of Separator, full band versions would be interesting. Thom comes up with great rhythmic acoustic riffs

Fart jokes. End my life
>>
>>60810338
Silent Spring is one of the best tunes he's ever performed. These feel like the most honest songs he's sang since The Bends. Totally heartfelt. Not in his head. vulnerable in a way they previewed at the end of King Of Limbs. I'm hoping they don't overdue it with too much production.
>>
>>60811204
how the fuck is this more honest than How to Disappear Completely or Reckoner or The Present Tense?
>>
>>60810338
First one reminds me of Follow Me Around, interestingly. Sounds like a late-album track. Calm-after-the-storm stuff. Very nice. Political lyrics, too, HTTT throwback stuff. Triggered by the rise of Corbyn perhaps?
>>
>>60810590
Could this be part of lp9's artwork?

Also the first one sounds like Optimistic and the Morning Mr Magpie acoustic version Thom did in 2003
>>
>>60811204
>>60811230
It's almost like you can't actually tell which songs are "honest" and it's just a way for dumb people to say "this feels right to me".
>>
I'm really exited for lp9
I don't care which way they go
I'm just pleased they will make new music

However these are really good
>>
>>60810338
I really enjoy them. Think this will be a pretty good album.
>>
This all reminds me of the Cambridge song premieres for King Of Limbs. Same exact format but the overall output will sound completely different.

YES LP9
>>
>>60811817
If you actually read up on this shit, it seemed like they were working on plenty of shit after In Rainbows, like there was some other album on the way, and then they just stopped and we eventually got the King of Limbs, which they said was a "newspaper album", just a snapshot of the band as they were at that moment in time.
Suddenly it's five years later and still nothing.
It basically seems like they actually started working on another album after In Rainbows that they just scrapped altogether.
>>
>>60811890
I mean considering just the size of the planned songs for the In Rainbows recording there should be a lot of shit they could work on. That blackboard list still haunts me. Plus all the OKC era c-sides(muh Dogwander) they played live, all the soundcheck shit like Wake Me, I Lie Awake, etc.

There is just so much shit they could work on.
>>
>>60810338
IT'S HAPPENING
STICKY WHEN
>>
>>60811970
Yeah, I don't know, it's a bit alarming when I'm hoping for those old songs to appear on the album rather than new ones, because it bothers me that they let them get out there without any follow-up.

Basically every Radiohead album since like OK Computer has included at least one track that was written several years before, though, so there's some hope.
>>
>>60812069
I also forget that there are still rudiments of their last tour in the shape of Cut A Hole, Ful Stop, Identikit and the Skirting revival. They seriously have enough material for a double album.

We just gotta wait. I'm sure it's gonna be a <40 min album though.
>>
ANYONE HAVE BLOOM PIANO VERSION????!!!
>>
theyre really bad

>Pathway to Paris
THOMMY CONFIRMED TERRORIST
>>
>>60810338
seems pretty complex

doesnt sound like "radiohead" type chords though
I had a feeling theyd run out of ways to play and just sound more nostalgic
>>
silent spring sounds pretty good
>>
>>60812164
Really hoping for Cut a Hole and Ful Stop.
>>
>>60812164
Identikit is so fucking awful
>>
Songs sound really abstract (relative to old Radiohead that is)
>>
>>60812859
This, Thom and Ed singing two different half-assed songs at the same time doesn't make it one complete okay song, it just makes it double shit.
>>
>>60812913
I'm not a fan of the bridge thing at all, but when Jonny comes in through the end, that is a top tier rh moment
