while loveless isn't even the best shoegaze album imo, i don't understand why it became cool to dislike it. it has a lot of pop sensibilities, but it's not "just pop music" at all.

i like shoegaze but i don't like Loveless all that much, i love all the "MBV clones" it created but i can't come back to the album because i want to listen to it more, i just keep coming back to sample it and see if anything clicks yet.
