anyone else feel like the "sadness" of this album is really exaggerated to the point of being unauthentic? It sounds like what someone who isn't actually sad would think a "sad" album is

went from least favourite to 2nd favourite album over the years
Feels like winter. This album helped a lot in 8th grade when my granddad suddenly passed and my mom had moved to the east coast not long before. Shit was rough. Street Lights and Paranoid are GOAT to this day even without that context, though.
RoboCop is one of my favorite Yeezy songs.
the tone of the music doesn't really inspire sadness in me, or atleast romantic sadness. As well as it being quite shallow - just incompatibly with my own personal views on love to have an effect tbqh.
I still like / can appreciate 808's but it just doesn't induce great melancholy inme.

I can't believe Kanye actually managed to pull autotune off correctly, also yeah its meant to be sad and all but I only listen to Kanye because everything he does is so over the top and silly, this album is no exception.
It is my favorite by him btw.
