Balance between the medium/high and bass, that's the main problem with 2.1 system. Not all songs are fit for a test. It has to be great dynamic range.

use sine waves and pink noise for equalization then. since you don't have a microphone to measure the frequency response you'll have to balance it by ear. very boring
