All Dogs - Kicking Every Day
>indie rock, pop punk, indie pop

All Dogs' debut LP. Less aggressive and hooky than previous releases, but has more refined production and is filled with moody, self-loathing lyrics.
Leatherface - Fill Your Boots

Top-tier '90s British punk. Big energy, thoughtful lyrics, chugging riffs and a scorched voice. For fans of Jawbreaker et. al.

A gem I found in a sharethread years ago. I remember the music being described as Pink Floyd playing new wave, and even as someone who really doesn't like Floyd, I think it lives up to that in the best way possible.
Bondage Fairies - Cheap Italian Wine

One of my favorite hip hop albums ever. Mostly produced by DJ Premier, and contains some of his best beats of all time imo. Few rap duos have chemistry like Billy and Fame.

Bizarre late '70s pop music that draws as much from Devo-style new wave and goth rock as it does kitschy '60s girl groups.
>>60789487
I don't see anything wrong with requesting something; so long as you're polite and share something in exchange, maybe fulfill someone else's request. That's the whole point of sharing
Also, I finally found this. Here it is if anyone wants it

It tends to clog up threads, and I just remember when requests just weren't part of the vocabulary of sharethreads, which were more about introducing each other to new things than about receiving things you already know you want (especially since most requests could be fulfilled in a few seconds on slsk).
It's just a different priority. Probably should've known better than to push that point in the OP, but it's fine, I've still got a bit more to share tonight.
Cool share, btw.
You all okay with it if I post (good) country music?

After Fugazi, my favorite '90s punk band. They started out as a talented nyeah-nyeah skate punk band with a unique vocalist and not much else, and grew to become a unique force of sophisticated, inventive production, stylistic experimentation and lyrics that blended wounded egos, anxiety, unfinished childhood business, and kaleidoscopic flesh-colored self-destruction. Massively underrated.

La Hermana Menor - Canarios (2010)
>Indie rock/pop. Bright jangly guitars, focused songwriting, poignant songs.
>I think I love this record. The juvenile energy of previous records now delves into melancholic aches and seasonal memories backed by the two sober guitars and the right amount of subtle string and organ/keyboard touches. Sadly, for you, my unilingual friend, one of the main traits on here is the lyricism. Kinda like John Darnielle, Tüssi Dematteis has the ability to encapsulate a singular situation, dissect it and brilliantly display it under the verse chorus verse structure. But it's also in the vocal delivery. The raspy, gloomy, yet silly voice that turns into grating fuzz on the heavier, faster-paced tracks, and on the phrasing and the ocassional goofy rhyme.

Franz Liszt - Années de pèlerinage (Chamayou)
>As is so often the case with great musicians, ear-catching details can be traced to the score itself. In the three Petrarch Sonetti, for example, Chamayou goes out of his way to clarify Liszt's phrase groupings and articulations, while the slightly sec textural quality he conveys in the Pastorale's second theme stems from Liszt's seldom-observed "un poco marcato" directive. He dispatches the octaves in Orage, the Dante Sonata, and Vallée d'Obermann with zero effort, volatile sweep, and shapely musicality.

That are only two worthwhile bands that can be concidered "djent." Meshuggah, who invented it and was classified as some sort of techy/prog groove metal before 20-somethings with 8-strings decided to copy the fuck out of it, and Vildhjarta's first album Masstaden.
Now I know you have those so post em and get out.

djentspammer? Are you okay? Your last post was 11 minutes ago! Come on, man, I just finished downing my dinner of Mountain Dew and Doritos! I knew there was a transcendental Limp Bizkit genre out there, and you helped me find it, so don't stop now! I've managed to position myself on my ragged wooden chair that can barely support my weight, so come on, give me a styroscopic contortion assault! I need to transcend into the peripheral djentstep, man!

Textures - Drawing Circles is also fucking legit as a Djent album. Maybe because it sounds like just technical music rather than long hair dudes jerking off to their guitars.
Wish I had proper internet to share it. I don't call many metal albums to be legit good.

Honestly, it's okay, but I think these guys need to leave djent behind entirely; they seem to have potential, but being stuck in a nonexistent "genre" built around chugga-chugga wank and (as of late) gay-ass clean vocals isn't good for anyone. The fact that djent's gone mainstream (through the awful Nothing More) only shows how stale and devoid of potential it is; it might as well be the oncoming return of nu metal. It's definitely changed from what Meshuggah started, which wasn't amazing to start with.
Phil Spector - Wall Of Sound: The Very Best Of Phil Spector 1961-1966

I've got Radiohead's discography if any plebs who don't have it already want it
>>60815997
I have it, but you're looking at what's become a djent/shitposting thread on a board full of newfriends who probably don't have it; I'd say go ahead and upload it, if only for the archive. I would do it myself, but I have a data cap, so I can only up/download a few things albums a week. A discog would kill me.
>>60815997
you know what you're doing yet you do it anyway
>>60816068
I'll think about it
>>60816069
Huh?
>>60816116
you're indulging plebs
you're open to making this thread worse because you think you'll get some (You)s and some appreciation, but fuck you
>>60816137
Indulging plebs is honestly better than shitposting/djentposting/coreposting/swedeposting, and ruling out shit and djent, those others could come at any moment. I would honestly prefer a fresh Radiohead upload for the archive than him simply holding out because he's "indulging plebs". Better to do that than to indulge the few djentfags who surely lurk without posting here.
>>60816192
>I would honestly prefer a fresh Radiohead upload for the archive
but radiohead has got to be one of the top 20 bands that's easiest to pirate of all time, only plebs aren't able to find downloads of them already. how can you justify posting a mega link that will surely be spiderbotted and dmca'd in a month? it's not really a contribution at all, if you think about it.
>>60816242
on one hand you have a point on the other hand i still want to upload it because fuck you
i'm very conflicted
>>60816361
am i wrong mate
am i wrong
>>60816242
Because, as I said, I figure it's better than shitposting or sharing bum shares just to piss people off.
But then, as much as I hate to admit it, you're right; I got their whole discog from a random blogspot three years ago. They're not hard to pirate. I'm just trying to think of ways to salvage this thread without reposting tired shares/other people's shares. At least sharing something might make people want to, you know, share something. Best thing I've got is this, and it's just some gem I stumbled upon in the archive a few hours ago.

Friendly reminder that sharing afro-american genre type music, and other myriads of type of music such as djent or whatever flavor of the month is - and complaining that people complain, is like whining about people not wanting you to give them a smelly turd, regardless of whether it was free or not.
