The tourist is, while not bad, objectively the least interesting song on OKC, and was rarely played live.
Palo Alto is much more in the vein of what OKC is about - in fact i think Palo Alto was originally called OK Computer. It plays thru much of the Meeting people is easy film. It seems like the album's core message - it probably wasnt included because its too rocky and they were trying to get away from that stereotype.
Climbing up the walls is good, but it's just creepy and a bit weird. There comes a point when you need to say, look, this is a bit much. Talk show host was never released properly as a single or album track and i think that would've been justice for one of the band's best songs.

I still think loveless is a really solid album, but I do prefer their older works a bit more at this point. Loveless is just too convoluted imo.

False. The best album from the nineteen-nineties is "Cheshire Cat" by my all-time-favorite pop-punk band, Blink 182. First off, their lyrics are very inspiring, and touching. I feel as if I can relate to what they are saying, or singing, about, in many ways. The song "Does My Breath Smell?" is just simply beautiful. Additionally, the production value is far more advanced than any previously listed albums on this thread.
My fellow /mu users, I hope you all, whether friend or foe, give this splendid album a listen before you go on to claim any other album as the "best album of the nineteen-nineties."
