i need some new music, something sad.

What kind of stuff have you heard? I find that Bill Frisell's music is very complex and often on the melancholy side, and he's talented and eclectic enough to appeal to near-anybody.

>>60773864
jesus family not my fault you don't like elliott smith.
>>60773844
thank you anon
>>60773864
i love elliott and will forever, but i've listened to it so often and for so long that it represents a different time in my life.
>>60773853
there's more of that set on YT
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dixd6msKLjo
but Frisell's discography is huge and all of it is so fucking good. He has meditative modern guitar stuff, country jam stuff, radical free improv stuff, well-arranged pop stuff, the whole gamut.
>>60773887
no but it's your fault that you're pushing on someone who may not have listened to that much music that some random person, like Elliott Smith, is the end of sad music, that he's the only guy, and that's a really dangerous and stupid approach to have to music and someone had to call you out on being a fucking retard
>>60773862
yeah it really is sublime

i see.
assuming you've already listened to nick drake and american football.
honestly anything can feel 'sad' as long as you listen to it while sad.
i find even pic related can help.
>>60773970
>even pic related
What? Especially pic related. That album in insanely melancholy.
'Down 3' captures that feeling so well.
I don't know if this considered as a sad song, I discover this song yesterday, she's only 13 years old:

I don't really feel much melancholy in Tired Sounds, i find it really does depend on the atmosphere you listen to it in.
>>60774044
>I don't really feel much melancholy in Tired Sounds
There are tracks literally called 'Requiem for Dying Mothers', 'Austin Texas Mental Hospital', 'The Lonely People (Are Getting Lonelier)' etc.
If you don't feel like it's melancholy then fair enough, but it's very obviously a melancholy album. Come on, bro.

I see what you mean. Then again, not everyone perceives music the same I guess.
