That little thing where drummers open the hi hat, but then close it immediately after hitting it. Also, playing triplets on any instrument, but especially on drums on the ride cymbal.

Guitar harmonics used with distortion. Makes me extra hard because of those beautiful screeching tones.

>loud crashing drums open the album
>reverb-soaked solos in psychedelic noise rock
>when the band falls into a groove and sticks with it with little variation for several minutes (Les Ralliizes Denudes, Isaac Hayes)
>obscure horror movie samples
On the opposite end, songs with "Be My Baby" drums that are not "Be My Baby" are an instant boner kill.
>pop music where you can tell a shitton of effort was put into the arrangement
>electronic music that sounds like it belongs on a 16 bit video game
>fairlight CMI
>"bad" metal production
>funk/R&B elements in genres that aren't funk/R&B
>sampling in genres that aren't rap
>a good string section, especially cellos
>deadpan female vocals without any strain put onto them
>albums that are less than 40 minutes long and have 5-8 tracks
>non-aggressive funky "pimp" gangster rap

Off the top of my head, a lot of Moody Blues albums do this. 'Days of Future Passed', 'In Search of the Lost Chord', 'On the Threshold of a Dream'. Pretty much their seven core albums.
Shpongle does it really well.
Jean Michel Jarre does it in a few of his albums. 'Oxygene', 'Equinoxe', 'Magnetic Fields'.
A portion of Kraftwerk's 'Trans Europa Express' and 'Radioactivity' do it.
There's an 'EarthBound' remix album called 'Oto No Ishi' that's really sweet.
Also, there's a complete score of 'Pokémon Red/Blue' on piano that mostly does it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNEIpa5fpYg

I'm convinced the greatest segue is between Paperhouse and Mushroom on Tago Mago. Or maybe the between the first and second tracks The Glow pt. II
