I hated it the first time I listened to it. Shelved it for about a year. Listened to it again and loved it. You kind of have to be in the right frame of mind for it, I think. It's not like their poppier albums that you can put on, sing along with and vibe to.

as much as i love it sober, i've never really understood the appeal of early anco high; it's way too abrasive for me. i much prefer sung tongs/feels for when i'm under the influence.
I only really, REALLY got into Native Belle on this record and it was about the time that I got into Yerself is Steam... I really just liked the abrasive textures and the bursts of energy.
