>>60769076
sony pslx3
not my pic btw because my setup is an absolute mess right now
i have it going through a samson mixer/preamp and samson active monitors with an alesis sub
that or my akg k44s which are the best headphones i can get without spending more money than i want to (because how would i buy all of these records if i had better headphones)
gabriel genesis is best genesis, but im a fan of pretty much everything theyve done.
>>60769173
not bad, i have about half of that genesis stuff, but several maxi singles instead.
I also have that galactic funk you have sitting there.
>>60769210

the joys of working from home
a+ setup, those cornwalls look fucking wild
a+ choice in guitars, too. i'd put single coils or at least rail humbuckers into that, but to each their own
overall impressive setup

how rich are u/ur parents?
>>60769618
thats an authentic bill lawrence in the bridge spot, the top is a lace p.a.f. with the cover off that reads 9k. I think we are on the same page though.
As someone who doesn't own a turntable or any records, what would you recommend for a beginner, and how much would it cost? I always prefer psychical, and I wanna start getting Vinyls.
>>60769914
>step 1. dont get a crosley
>step 2. make sure you get a TT with a counter weight (Vintage is cheap around $200 or so)
>get speaker + receiver
>vinyl is expensive (its a hobby)
>vinyl is the plural of vinyl
good luck.
>>60769914
I would recommend not referring to them as "vinyls".
The listening station
I also have the TNT reissue and Mother 2 soundtrack on preorder, both coming in january.
>>60768248
This will be arriving tomorrow. I already have good speakers I use for my cd/cassette deck that I can run to the turntable as well.
>>60770027
Thanks for the tips, and I'll keep in mind the pluralization.
I'm new to vinyl and I have two stupid questions.
I'm looking to buy an Audio-Technica LP-60 as a starter record player, or should I just jump straight to the LP-120? The reason I'm so keen on the LP-60 is because I can use any speakers until I find decent ones.
My second questions are about the speakers:
I have an Orange Crush 20, would it be possible to somehow hook that amp to a record player and have the amp as a speaker?
If not, can anyone recommend good speakers?
>>60770852
Don't buy the LP-60.
No don't hook up your fucking amp.
These will be decent enough if you get the LP 120. http://www.amazon.com/Micca-PB42X-Powered-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B00NXAEPDC

Thanks anon!

Only for hipsters, maybe, it's always been big in electronic music. Hopefully when hipsters move on to other stuff the prices won't be so artificially inflated on some releases anymore.
