None of those are particularly good. If anything there are more old anime I can think of with great soundtracks. Anything by the guy who did the Kaiji soundtrack, for one. Monster had pretty nice music too.

is what this post refers too, and I agree. The whole lain soundtrack is pretty cool. The show's got a feel to it unlike a lot of anime out there. It manages to avoid typical anime trope trash without swaying too far toward the tryhard 14 year old opposite.

The only anime OST worth listening to is from Zankyou no Terror. This stuff is really good - kinda reminiscent of Agaetis Byrjun, but a more subtle take. (The composer definitely has some kind of Icelandic influence). Works so well and has a unique overtone across every track, which so many shows don't have.
