Reading and exercising aren't necessarily constructive. Plenty of basement dwellers reading escapist genre fiction and popcorn novels, while with working out you get a lot of meathead types like zyzz. Check out bodybuilding forums if you think it's a self-actualized master race hobby, which it's not.
