I don't think so. No amounts of erudite music post 1950 can outweigh the music that truly represents the second half of the 20th century, that being the experimental post-punk, fluxus, free jazz, etc.
Shostakovich did his best work towards the early century as much as Stravinsky or Schoenberg.
