Technically Kevin Barnes is not nessisarily talking much about homosexual feeling and interactions in this album. As a matter of fact he was married to a woman and has a kid. If you are referring to songs like Tim wish you were born a grill or when your loved like you are, he is really just talking about his male friends, and how they treat him better than any romantic partner he had ever had. Also keep in mind at this time in his life he was heart broken, and probably a bit sexually confused because of his horribly failed relationships with women. That being said Kevon Barnes is a pretty feminine man and even has admitted to wishing he was gay so people would just accept who he is, instead of having everyone assume his sexuality while he is actually straight. Always there nothing wrong with being feminine or gay, and he is still a genius at composing and a great vocalist and multi instrumentalist so why does that matter. Just a thought?
