I can hear where you're coming from, this album is great and fun throughout. Angel Dust is more thought-out but it can drag on a bit over time, and Mr Bungle can sound inconsistent and crazy for crazy's sake. I love all five though. And King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime is solid too.
Still haven't listened to Sol Invictus, I should do that one of these days.
