The peak of his career is at 1:40 of this song

What went so wrong? This is the guy who wrote "God Only Knows" for crying out loud.

I honestly like all the beach boy sample collages and cut ins, but the rest of the song is pretty trash. It's sad brian wilson was manipulated into this. On the other hand, imagine if he made a whole album like this, or better yet, enjoyed a career renaissance as a hip hop producer

Loss of interest and conviction
Belief that others were better than him
Once he was on his own there was no "team" to guide him
Loss of mental thinking due to therapy drugs
Age
Out of Sync with the later decades

He also got manipulated by his psychiatrist/manager for about 10 years into doing most of this stuff
anyone have the comic of brian getting punched in the face and his skull is all mushy?

Are you implying that "Fire" is bad?
>>60726689
Elements:Fire is just one of those songs that genuinely bothered me when I first heard it. The climax with the harmony voices in the middle was amazing. Really felt like I was caught in a nightmare of a fire and a demented circus.
