What's stopping me from stealing someone's riff and then putting it in a constant loop and I just reverb the fuck out of it and feed it plugins until it sounds like popcorn in the microwave and then I just record myself screaming and layer it 3 minutes in and finish "my song" and then I photoshop a picture of wooden baby blocks next to a pyramid and slap a name on it like "nutseed library" and then I keep doing this until you faggots find my shit and start eating it up

i get cynical when i bounce around genres and force myself to listen to genres i'm just not into at the moment. right now, if i put on any hip hop, i'd be ready to delete it after five minutes. but that's not the music. it's me and where i am right now.
so i'd suggest listening to what you like. if you find yourself hating THAT, then it's time to take a break from music, or may be a sign of a deeper issue like depression.

That's what I thought too for the longest time, but I honestly feel they entered a renaissance last season. They've reinvented the show to reflect both their own maturing viewpoints and television's evolution towards binge watching (hence the continuity in the new seasons).

2 things:
Before the Fountain, he had proved himself with a number of more traditional pieces, among them the equally renowned Nude Descending a Staircase.
Second, Duchamp had a credible theory behind his work. He was extremely articulate and had thought out his concepts very thoroughly. At no point did he consider his readymades "intentional garbage".
