What is the best and worst shows you've been to this year /mu/?
>>
BEST: Deerhoof OR A Place To Bury Strangers
WORST: Major Lazer (free pass so i thought wtf)
>>
>>60723383
I saw Nas earlier in the year. It will definitely go down as one of the best concerts I've seen.
>>
>tfw I went in only one show in my life
>it was Muse back in 2008

They were still good, before they put that Resistance shit.
>>
>>60723383
Best: Flaming Lips

Worst: I saw Axl Rose because he was playing at a festival I was at. He was so ridiculously bad, but a bunch of drunk college frat-bros were fucking lovin it. So that was pretty funny
>>
>>60723891
Did he play November rain?
>>
liturgy
liturgy
>>
best: turnstile/backtrack
worst: counterparts and some other shitty metalcorebands

honerable mentions, since im not entirely sure you faggots would consider them on par for concerts.

great concerts:
the high kings
the downhill strugglers
>>
>>60723932
I don't even know. I went off to smoke weed with my friends somewhere where it was harder to hear his awful screeching. Also he was like 30 minutes late, and they didn't fill the time with anything else. Everyone just sat around waiting for half an hour for that hack to show up
>>
Best: Viet Cong

Worst: Ian Anderson
>>
Best: Ceremony/Negative Approach or this free Touche Amore show I went to at a small venue

Worst: I saw Yelawolf at this BS radio station festival and that was atrocious, The Orwells were also there and it was just as bad.
>>
best
>earl sweatshirt
worst
>Danny brown
>>
Best: Viet Cong
Worst: My buddy's friend at a bar 0/10 walked out
>>
>Best: The Front Bottoms

>Worst: Hands Like Houses
>>
Best: Mac Demarco.
I'm not really that big of a Mac fan, but that concert was fucking nuts surprisingly.

Worst: Ghostface and Raquan
They only rapped for like 20 minutes, and spent another 20 minutes asking us to buy T shirts.
>>
>best
Leonard Cohen

>worst
Played a house show and the band before us was this god awful pop punk band that played the most generic, whiniest shit I've ever heard
>>
>>60723437
I'm seeing flosstradamus in January because a friend is buying me the ticket, is it worth it? Figure they're kinda similar to Major Lazer
>>
>>60725571
where was this?
>>
Best: Suf
Worst: My own band's concerts
>>
>>60723518
Yea i saw him too, he was fucking terrific. awesome energy
>>
>>60723383
Best: Metric. Saw them twice this year. I like their first three albums the most, from which they only played one song, but I still like their newer stuff, and they put on a great show.

Worst: Best Coast played right before The New Pornographers at NXNE in Toronto. They weren't really bad, but they were the most boring show I've been to this year.

I've not been to too many shows this year tbqh fham.
>>
>>60723383
Best: Mayhem. Fucking insanity.
I haven't really been to a bad show this year.
>>
>>60725677
what Cohen or the house show?
>>
>>60725770
but which one was the worst?

I've never been to a concert in my life.
>>
>>60725831
Might be Skrillex.
You guys aren't gonna like this, but I passed up on Weezer to see Skrillex at a music festival. I figured Skrillex would play some songs that I used to like, because he used to be all I would listen to. I was wrong; he played a DJ set playing top 40 shit. My girlfriend saw Weezer, and she said it was the best show of her life. She and I used to listen to them all the time, so there's definitely some nostalgia there. I definitely fucked up.
>>
Best: The Mountain Goats

Worst: Sean Paul but it was at a free music festival
>>
best: RBMA Merzbow show
worst: PTV, it was still a great show. i went to a lot of bad shows last year. not many this year.
>>
>>60725987
dang son, I passed up seeing Weezer play Blue and Pinkerton in their entireties because I didn't want to go to a festival last minute a few months ago
>>
Battles, Ariel Pink and Death Grips

Idk.
>>
>>60726108
Fuuuuck. At least we both fucked up.
Maybe someday we can fulfill our dream of seeing Weezer.
>>
>>60726153
hopefully. they're definitely doing another album I guess?
>>
>>60726335
I honestly don't see why not. Their newest album was, IMO, the best thing they've done in a while so hopefully they continue that trend.

Best: Torsö and a few others in Chinatown, Chicago, 'round 2am in a basement. Their PA was busted but it was still so fucking raw, look at this shit:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp1T0f3wGrw

Worst: The time I opened for The Orwells and Twin Peaks at a house show :^)

Runner-Up: Negative Approach at Reggie's.
>>
>Best
Definitely Godspeed You Black Emperor. In interviews they've said that their music comes together with the old films the show, and it makes the experience one whole concept. It really doesn't make sense until you see them live. Really loud, intense, footage of old police cars, buildings, it felt like I was inside the worlds greatest imax achievement. 10/10 would see again.

>Worst
Plenty of local shit. However I saw Julian Baker if anyone knows who that is. She was the best act at when I saw her at a show with some other people.
>>
Best- probably Death Grips, but a surprising second is Jonathan Richman. For a cheap, small show it was really entertaining.
Worst- Chvrches. I really like them but it was surprisingly bland. I got the impression Lavren still isn't 100% invested, I dunno. I met her backstage prior and she was kind of standoffish so maybe that has something to do with it. She let me go to the concert for free though, i shouldn't complain, but there was just something hugely lacking...
>>
>>60726451
Hah, what's the name of your band/act dude? I used to play shows in Chicago with my 2 buddies about 2-3 years ago. We were on an episode of Chic-a-go-go that Twin Peaks was also on if I remember correctly.
>>
Best: HEALTH and Death Grips. I haven't been to too many shows this year.
Worst: Local rapper opening for the opener's opener. I think the dude had his pants backwards ala Kris Kross.
Really every group from my area sucks dick
>>
>>60726597
Where you from senpai?
>>
Best: Swans

Worst: the second opener of Battles in Boston. I forget their name, some chick and a bassist. They played one good song then played ten more that sounded exactly the same, the crowd got bored. Battles were amazing, though.

Death Grips too, but not for the music. The performance was great, but the crowd sucked. Drunk eighteen year olds packed into a small Denver venue. It was like 4chan materialized.
>>
>>60726617
Minneapolis
>>
Only worst.
Last friday I went to a local 'concert' of ska music and, well, shit but I was high af so idc. BUT I didn't know that ska-core (ska with some death metal shit) exists.
>>
>>60725571
So how was Leonard Cohen? I want to see him more than anyone else at this point. I hope he can hang on a few more years.
>>
BEST: Slash was awesome, really inspiring and cool to see such a good guitarist get down. Foxing was great for all the emotion and heart in the performance.

Worst: TWIABPAIAMNLATD have the worst stage presence ever and literally played with the lights off.
>>
>>60726643
Really? I feel like Minneapolis's scene from the old days (Prince, Replacements, technically Husker Du) would carry over to the new age.
>>60726639
I need to see Swans before the lineup they currently have stops playing
>>
>>60726511
so are you saying Julien Baker was good or bad live?
>>
>>60726730
Good, sorry didn't specify. I've seen her before way back when, but now that she's getting attention from NPR and Pitchfork I feel I'd share my experiences. I liked her more than the other acts.
>>
I haven't been to a show in a long time. I hate downtown Baltimore. I had some nasty anxiety attack the last show I went to a year ago. I want to start playing shows more than anything. Plus I'm broke. I am so disappointed with my life at the moment.
>>
>>60726682
>I feel like Minneapolis's scene from the old days would carry over to the new age
Not at all. As another /mu/tant put it, Minneapolis/St. Paul is a hipster yuppie breeding ground and the scene reflects on that astoundingly.
>>
>>60726682
next year into 2017 will be the final tour for this version of Swans, it might be the last Swans tour ever. See them.

I saw them twice during the To Be Kind tour, the second time was an entirely different show.

The first time was at a small bar in CT called Toad's Place. It was more of a noise rock show. Xiu Xiu opened with a harsh noise piece.

The second time I saw them was in Rhode Island at a refurbished movie theater (I think.)

Xylouris White opened who were awesome, I met the drummer and Gira after the show. Swans did a much longer set with more drone elements than at Toad's place. The set list was the same but each song was completely redone since the time I saw them at toad's a few months before. My girlfriend had to sit down to stop herself from vomiting due to the bass. It's like an elephant is sitting on your chest.
>>
Best: NMH/ DG

Worst: A$AP FERG
>>
>>60726773
Rhymesayers is pretty great, though.
>>
Best: Kendrick Lamar
Worst: Blur
>>
>>60726770
I thought like Wham City and Beach House played shows in B-More? I figured it was a happening place
>>60726773
That blows, start a new scene. I imagine there's some cool hole in the walls
>>60726774
A friend said Xiu Xiu sucked and that Swans blew out the soundsystem and used their own. Elephant on my chest? I need to experience with a bass and not a fat woman...
>>
>>60726663
Ridiculous to be honest. His backing band was flawless, and there was a pause after the first 3 or 4 songs where he introduced every single member and said a few things about them it was cute as fuck really. Cohen himself was unbelievable. The energy he had was shocking, considering how old is now. He was all over the stage the dude is a showman through and through. And to finish it off he came back and did 5 encores; I've never been in a louder concert hall than at the end of his show.
>>
>>60726821
Not that other guy but damn I should go then. I've heard his shows have been great lately but never took it up as true. I love Songs of Hate and some of his other material, should go.
>>
>>60726755
Haha I was just wondering because her debut was my aoty this year

just saw those guys last week and I would have to agree with you about the whole stage presence thing. they all looked like total shit and like all 10 of the member where crowed onto a tiny stage. they also all smelled like ass and they where all fat and covered with grease some more then others but everyone in that band desperately needed a shower

Best: Sun Kil Moon
Worst: Perfect Pussy were laughably bad
>>
Best: Mono
Runner up: Mac Demarco
Worst: Morrissey, i mean the performance was good but the setlist was so boring
>>
>>60726920
that's awesome, please do
>>
>>60726909
It was disappointing really, I enjoy their records and expected their performance to be better and have a more varied instrumentation. They really did not need 4 guitarists
>>
>>60726944
Pitchfork 2014?

Best, Dan deacon In Louisville at Zanzibar

Worst, 2 Chainz at a free concert
>>
>>60726548
I remember that episode! What band were you? We've only played about 4 or 5 shows under this incarnation. We call ourselves Suburban Scum. I grew up with the Orwells and know members of Twin Peaks and a few other bands in the scene personally. We didn't play bad, the only reason why I claimed that as the worst is because I'm not too big on their scene. So I've been trying to start up a great rock n' roll band for a couple of years now but lack of a practice space and proper financial obligations have made it difficult. We don't even have any of our recorded material online right now, we're just an ultra-obscure band that only a handful of people know.
>>
>>60727053
I feel like the whole 4 guitarist thing will be remembered as an odd phase for them, not something that is permanent.
>>60727078

>>
Best: Saw GSY!BE at a small local venue
Worst: Some local punk house show I went to and there were a bunch of high school kids hanging out.

>>60726944
Honorable mention to PP being one of the worst shows I've ever seen. How they got so much praise is beyond me.
>>
>>60723383
Best: Black SabbAth (original members minus bill ward). Fucking enourmous energy, tightness (except for ozzy which was suprisingly still ok), heaviness and well, fucking ozzy.

Worst: some shitty highschool local band.
>>
>>60727141
>and there were a bunch of high school kids hanging out.

What's funny about that is there is some kid who is naieve enough to be new to underground local music and believe that the house show he is at currently is "where its at" despite the music being terrible. He thinks his band who could play if he could get some likeminded guys together could be the next Slint with a small following per say. But it never happens and he watches his old scene continue to go nowhere.
>>
>>60727131
>doing something to get shot

no thanks im not a big fan of being a douchebag
>>
Best - Punch Brothers at the Fillmore
Amazing instrumentalists/vocalists, some of the most jaw-dropping harmonies I've ever seen.

Worst - Alice in Chains at the Pearl
Not terrible but they seem to be going through the motions a bit now. New vocalist is fine, but seems a bit out of sync stylistically with the rest of the band.
>>
>>60727086
Super Minotaur here's our performance hah https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6g8YzJoU1w

Right on though. I can't remember if we ever did a show with The Orwells but I definitely remember hearing about them since they were getting exposure at the time. I feel your pain though, I'd say the practice space is even more important than having enough cash to do shit. It was for us at least, we could always find ways to get a little money but getting a spot to play and record was crucial. I wish you luck and I'll keep my eye out for you guys once you get your stuff up online.
>>
Best : Deafheaven
Surprised by how good this show was.. everything I expected and then some. They played 2 encore songs aswell, and the opening acts (Tribulation and Envy) were also great.
Runner Up : Death Grips
Worst : Bradford Cox
I love Bradford, and maybe it's because it was my first live show, but I just didn't really enjoy his set that much. It was like an hour and a half of extremely loud drone that went no where
>>
>>60725770
Mayhem the black metal band, or mayhem the bad metal fest?

Best: Band of Horses/Lord Huron
Worst: Some shitty DJ that opened for Third eye blind
Most disappointing: Modest Mouse. They played the worst setlist ever
>>
>>60723383
Best: Mac Demarco
Worst: Mac Demarco

Mac played a pretty good set but I made the mistake of going to an all age show and at the end all the fucking kids rushed the stage and started taking selfies with him.He genuinely looked so done. Vancouver kids suck
>>
Best: Iron Maiden; Ghost
Worst: some local performance that I don't remember
>>
>>60723383
Best, Godspeed. Been wanting to see them for about 12 years, saw them twice on subsequent nights front-row in a sweltering-hot church and it was amazing. Jaga Jazzist was also incredible just for their live setup.

worst, probably Lightning Bolt. Not necessarily because of them but there was a ton of technical problems interrupting their set so they only played about half their show.
>>
Best: Either Ghost or Run the Jewels

Worst: Some local punk band that was supposedly pretty good but turned out to be lackluster. Also the lead vocalist was a cunt.
>>
>>60727756
Sled island was so dope this year, I saw Ben Frost and I was literally shaking after seeing him, so much fucking bass
>>
>>60727976
Other shows of note:
Tim Hecker in an underground salt mine in Poland
Bjork at Carnegie Hall
Dean Blunt dj set in my cousins basement
OPN/James Ferraro in Vancouver
>>
i dont leave the house
>>
I've only been to one show this year. Kanye doing 808's at the Hollywood Bowl. The performance was great. Stage production was amazing. The crowd was shit though. Everyone around me constantly had their phones out trying to film and wouldn't sit the fuck down. I had to stand to see the stage. I just wanted to sit down and enjoy the show.
>>
Best: lightning bolt.

A place to bury strangers was also fucking insane. Go see them if u can.

Worst: besides shitty local shows, probably oneohtrix point never. It wasn't bad but... Too cerebral/underwhelming. I guess I was just overhyped on it
>>

No one notices. And def. no one notices when shit actually starts -- I go to shows by myself (and with friends) all the time and honestly sometimes going by yourself is awesome. Also, get drunk, and talk to people. I've met awesome folks from being by myself at a show.
>>
>>60723383
Best: Rush R40 2015
Worst: The Melvins 1994 (also my first show)
>>
>>60727572
lol
>>
Best: Sufjan Stevens. Absolutely fantastic venue (Saenger Theater in NOLA), amazing opener (Moses Sumney), and just an all around great performance from Suffy

Worst: It would be kind of unfair to say Collective Soul since I don't really care for them and only went because it was a birthday present for my mom. But they really actually are good performers. So I would say the worst show I saw was Beck. Beck put on a great show and I love his music, but holy shit the sound guys should be fired. Worst sound mixing I've ever heard at a show. You could barely hear the vocals sometimes, everything was mixed way too loud, and the guitar was overpowering.

Honorable mention: The Polyphonic Spree. If you even remotely like them, you should see them live. They're fantastic live
>>
I only saw of montreal and title fight but both were excellent
>>
Best: Big K.R.I.T.
Worst: Rae Sremmurd
>>
best: krill and swirlies on the 4th of July

NYC here

1. Death Grips - The Powers That B tour
(Webster Hall, Masonic Temple, Afroppunk)

Webster Hall:
My first time seeing them, probably the same for a lot of other NY /mu/tants as well. I'll never forget the roar of the crowd when they came out on stage (0:05 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODENgeoiI_U ). We had all been standing there waiting for about 3 hours so the hype in the room was electrifying. Explosive performance, I was left speechless.

Later that night I tripped on mushrooms on the rooftop of my hotel with a friend, took a hefty dose. It was a huge building and I could see all of NYC. Mushrooms have to ability to extend your eyesight, so it was incredibly beautiful. I had some interesting hallucinations, everything from cute lady bugs crawling all over me to being put inside of a computerized coffin. I went to both heaven and hell during that trip, however, my favorite part was when I hallucinated MC Ride. He was chilling in my bed smoking a cigarette, I believe he was talking to Andy but the mushroom wouldn't let me visualize the other side of the room. After that, Ride laid there in my bed sleeping, it was shocking seeing his body lay in my bed, but at this point, his presence became unwelcoming. I completely lost my sense of time and I had no idea where my friend was. My mind was racing, I was depressed, and I began viewing my life from a 3rd person perspective. I was able to get inside the minds of my enemies and see just how fucked in head people are.

Later on into the morning, I got a text from a guy that said Mac DeMarco was in town having a BBQ. He made us hot dogs, it was really chill.

Masonic Temple:
The night after Webster, basically felt like I witnessed history.

Afropunk:
DG Afropunk was probably my favorite performance I've seen this year. Incredible sound, great setlist, nice length, and outdoors. Got to see them perform just minutes after Danny Brown. Front row too!

Just as a gesture after meeting her I guess. It was kind of an 'I assume you've already got a ticket so just stay' kind of thing. Also a Scot in the USA, same sort of age, clearly Scottish name. None of it helped much with the awkward conversation though.
>>
>>60728968
damn man I saw foals in 2014, I thought they were a fucking awesome show

Andrew W.K was honestly probably the best for me. I was really surprised by the performance which may have been why. Also saw modest mouse, they were pretty cool too.

Worst was probably drive like jehu, something was up with their sound and it was impossible to hear a coherent word from the vocalist, it was essentially just a harsh wall noise show.

>>60723383
Best: Kanye West set at FYF.
FYF 2015, Frank Ocean drops, last minute we get Kanye West. He performed everything I possibly wanted to hear out of the man, hands down best set I've witnessed.

Worst: Earl Sweatshirt at Low End Theory Festival. Not very energetic, plus crowd sucked
>>
>>60723383
neutral milk hotel was FUCKING GREAT
crowd had energy
they opened with I LOVE YOU JESUS CHRIST and everybody sang and i sang while i laughed my dick off with the guy who went with me
there were a ton of hipsters there, a sea of plaid, flannel, and beard as far as the eye could see
there were cute grills who looked like they were probably mentally ill
and quite a few older people too
>>
>>60729080
If you get the chance, fucking go dude. It was actually life changing. It was bone crushingly loud, the tone was perfect, the setlist was diverse and long, and Buzz was wearing this huge black smock-robe with rug patterns on it. He looked me in the eye several times. He kept staring right into people's eyes like he was casting hexes on them. And he is hilarious. Fucking incredible band. That show got me into doom and sludge metal.

Jesus christ, that is exactly what i would expect from a melvins show, I fucking hope they tour next year.
>>
>>60729187
It's what you'll get, my man. If you think they're mind blowing on record, just wait till you feel Buzz's Sunn amps rattling the ribs in your chest. It can't be understated. And yeah, me too. I think they're only scheduled to be in Europe for a while right now but they'll probs start another US tour by the end of '16. Anyboobs I have to hit the sack, I've actually been up all night recording doom metal haha. Cheers, hope you get to see em!
>>
>>60723383
Best: Mac DeMarco or Earl Sweatshirt
Worst: San Cisco
>>
>>60729176
Yeah mane, I lost my mind when I heard the announcement because I bought the FYF ticket for 150 for the fuck of it to not break the streak of going to the festival Was honestly ehhh about the line-up but then the best thing in the world happens and my boy Kanye is headlining it. Was going wild during the set and screaming all the lyrics trying to make a mosh pit dancing and some bitches are like WTF and I"m arguing with a blonde bitch while giving her the middle finger screaming the lyrics to All Day. Kanye arrogance at its finest

2. Panda Bear @ The Bowery Ballroom - (October 13th-15th)
Noah played 3 final shows in New York City to conclude his Grim Reaper tour.

I was originally only going to see him perform on the first night, but I was so blown away by the end that I immediately went on stubhub and purchased tickets for the next two nights, along with the nearest hotel room which was super tiny but only $39 a night lol. Anyways, the whole band was there in the crowd and Deakin was DJing between sets.

Night 1:
The first night had the best setlist, he opened up with Mr. Noah and the place went crazy. Based on his last.fm page, I don't think he's been doing this. I was in the front row rolling on ecstasy, it was by far the most euphoric moment of my lifetime. His visuals blew my fucking brains into another planet. Especially the finale when he played the ending of the Cosplay demo (2:30 onward https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eavWYXgLtyU ) while showing insane visuals of these puking alien chicks (pic related) with crazy lighting effects. I'll never forget the rush I felt through my body when I witnessed this.

I was so happy after the show ended, I called my dad and apologized over something random, which was weird. Panda Bear has an awesome fanbase tho, chilled with some of them after the show.

Night 2:
He played the entirety of the Crosswords EP which was awesome. I made a thread during the show as a joke and a random guy next to me posted in it. For some reason he was staring at the ground the whole time, I think he was epileptic or something. Another amazing show.

Night 3:
I'd say this night had the weakest setlist but it still had its charm!
(you can see me put my hands in the air at 0:49 lol)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHH0NwMbZyg

The setlist were different each night and Panda has really improved his live sound! I was blown away by the clarity of Boys Latin. Someone next to me filmed it:

>WORST
Autechre

Let me explain myself: I LOVE Autechre, the show was great, BUT...the people were kind of atrocious. Autechre play dark shows ( meaning the show is pitch black... No lights) But one person was on his phone, right next to me ( lights blazing!!) Then somebody dropped a glow stick right next to me. I was a little raged, but the music calmed me down.

3. Mac DeMarco @ The Bowery Ballroom
The night before his Pitchfork day in the life video. I'd articulate more but I gotta go to sleep.

Mac put on a long, chill show. His fanbase was very tumblr, but friendly. The whole night had good vibes; Mac was sick but he let loose and performed with few flaws. He covered Coldplay and Metallica, that was fun. Julian Casablancas made a surprise appearance, which was crazy... he just walked on stage during one of his songs. I thought I was hallucinating at first but no, the red streak in his hair confirmed I was indeed lucid. Everyone was smoking weed, I smoked a cigarette when he played Viceroy. He stage dived from the second floor balcony into the crowd like a madman:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uHnKuc_vIA

His show definitely blew away my expectations.
I got to chill with him after the show ended for about a half hour, we talked about random shit and I smoked a Viceroy with him.

Yeah, people eventually stopped being dick heads and enjoyed the show. I was just thankful it didn't go on the entire show. But yeah, hearing Autechre live was insane. The concerts sound system was on point, so the texture/layers of sound had me in awe.
>>
Best: Probably Godspeed just based on how fucked up that made me feel

Worst: Babymetal, but not because of the music. They put on an excellent performance, but for some reason they were set to play the first main stage slot on the Saturday at Reading festival. So everybody who was there was tired and hungover/coming down and completely sober, so the majority of the unwashed masses didn't really understand it and just laughed at them or were just generic assholes about the whole thing

But then Reading festival is filled with utter trash anyway so I don't know what I expected

Actual performance was ok but the setlist was terrible.

Best: probably BTBAM, they're still one of my favourite bands and the nostalgia Colors holds for me from when I discovered it at 16 is still immense. I didn't like their new album too much but they killed it live, such a tight band. Also got to meet Dustie afterwards.

Worst: easily Megadeth. Dave Mustaine was clearly off his head on something (apparently he's addicted to painkillers, according to my brother who toured with them as a merch guy) and could barely play his guitar never mind sing. I got to meet and hang out with John Campbell from Lamb of God afterwards and he almost got me laid, which I guess is cool

Best: HOLY FUCKIN SHIT THE SOFT MOON WERE THE BEST FUCKIN SHOW I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Best fucking crowd I've ever seen and Luis invited me couple of us on stage to play any unoccupied instrument. (picked the bongos) There was also a hottie who got up on stage and showed her tits, let's just say that wasnt the last of her that I saw.

Worst: It hurts saying this but it was Earth. They focused too much on the new album.

Disappointing: Godspeed were alright but could barely hear the violin and the setlist was such a letdown. (Only old tracks they played were Moya and The Sad Mafioso even though they played Mladic,Sleep AND Storm on the previous show.

BEST:
Earl Sweatshirt. Saw him like 2 days after IDLS dropped and he played every song and almost everything from Doris too

WORST:
Juicy J. Got dragged to it by some friends. Most of the people were white teens since it was all ages and Juicy came on about 4 hours after he was supposed to and played for 45 minutes. He had girls come up and do a twerk contest and half of them looked no older than 14.

I like my Sludge more filthy and weird, in the likes of Iron Monkey, Toadliquor and Harvey Milk just to name a few.

3rd best: No Joy (Really fucking good show)

RL Grime was absolutely sick. Great crowd. Great venue (Central Park). Amazing set. I took my best friend to see him too (He's a gigantic RL fan, and this was his first concert) and we had a total blast. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
>Worst of 2015
This dude who opened before TeamSESH came out earlier this year in around late June. Dude was total ass. I didn't understand anything he said. His hype man would make air-horn noises over the microphone to hype up the crowd, but no one was having it. Eventually the hype man would say shit like "Wow you guys fucking suck, make some fucking noise!! EEERRR EEERRR EEERRRRRRRRRRRR" Shit was garbage.
>Best of All Time
Rammstein. Amazing. Just look up their concerts lives on YouTube to get an idea:
https://youtu.be/e-kwx7ClHcc?t=2m4s
>Worst of All Time
This dude that opened before Yung Lean in June of 2014 in Brooklyn. Absolute trash. What a let down to go from Suicideyear's balls to the wall DJ set to some guy who can't even sing. At least Leandoer made up for it.
>Biggest Letdown
When I saw Bones, I was really excited and hyped the fuck up, but for some reason he didn't perform a lot of his better songs, and decided to perform some of his SurrenderDorothy tracks. He didn't perform USB, MyFavoriteColorIsRain, etc. At the end of the show, you expected them to all perform WeDon'tBelieveYou, but they didn't. They put the song on, and left the stage. It was a good concert, but mainly because of how fucking good the DJ was before hand.

Best was probably Marissa Nadler. It was pretty amazing how she was able to fill the room with such an engaging atmosphere with nothing but her voice and a guitar
Also her voice is somehow even more gorgeous live, which I didn't even think was possible

It pains me to say it because I love her to death, but worst was probably Grouper. The venue was pretty big and it was absolutely packed and you could tell she was terrified at the prospect of performing in front of so many people, the strain was really evident in her performance and it was pretty depressing to watch tbphwy

>Best: Mutemath and Death Grips (tie)

Mutemath - Tiny venue, sounded great, and you could tell they legitimately wanted to be there. They played for 3 hours and it was one of the more enjoyable shows I've been to.

Death Grips - Absolutely fucking insane set. Only an hour and 20 minutes but they played nonstop. Im usually that guy at shows who just kind of stands back and listens or gets to the front and just bob my head a little, but this broke me out of that shell. Holy fucking shit I felt amazingly horrible afterward. I just wanted to get home and go to bed but I was also blown away by the fact that that just happened.

>Runner up: Tycho
Good sound, really chill atmosphere, and some nice visuals. Nothing bad to say really.

>Worst: Ratatat
I love their music, but this show sounded awful. The bass overpowered most of what I wanted to hear.. I actually couldn't hear the music. There were also so many flashing bright lights that I found myself closing my eyes for much of the show. Don't get me wrong, I like a good light show, but this was a bit too much for my taste...
