we should make /trad/ threads every day sooner or later some more people will join. Maybe we should go for a different continent for next thread, somewhere in europe or africa perhaps

Anyway, I've been listening to the Anthology of Chinese Traditional and Folk Music Played on the Guqin pretty much since I got home from school today. It's a bunch of I'm guessing pentatonic (since most china tunes are) plinky plonking and it sounds super stereotypically chinese so to speak. This is what I'd expect to hear in a small chinese fast food store. Not exactly exciting music, but I don't regret listening to it either way. Maybe 6 hours is a bit of a stretch for someone who doesn't "understand" it.
>>
Hey Hampy, do you have this by any chance?

http://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3967775

Dad recced this shit and apparently it's really good but the seeders are nowhere to be found
>>
What's stopping me from stealing someone's riff and then putting it in a constant loop and I just reverb the fuck out of it and feed it plugins until it sounds like popcorn in the microwave and then I just record myself screaming and layer it 3 minutes in and finish "my song" and then I photoshop a picture of wooden baby blocks next to a pyramid and slap a name on it like "nutseed library" and then I keep doing this until you faggots find my shit and start eating it up
>>
>>60713045
I do not.

fuck my life

been like this for the past week for me

If you can up it once you download it, I'll up Цyкop Бiлa Cмepть if you haven't downloaded it already.
>>
>>60713302
Sounds like a fair trade to me, although I was going to upload it for you either way. Only reason I'm downloading it really.
>>
not thai but I've been listening to a lot of Kabuki theater music, specifically recordings by Ensemble Nipponia, and have been really enjoying it.

any recommendations for more japanese theater music? I know there are many different incarnations of Kabuki and I want to know if there are musical differences between them
>>
>>60713426
Why haven't you been WATCHING Kabuki?
>>
>>60713477
because no money and there aren't theater groups touring near me anyways

I don't find much enjoyment out of watching recorded theater performances
>>
>>60713527
But you find enjoyment out of listening to recorded theater music? What the fuck
>>
I'll just post it here I guess.

<3 thank you
>>
>>60713605
not a theater guy in general, I find it hard to maintain focus unless it is in a live situation

music on the other hand is very engaging for me
>>
>>60713825
And yet here you are, posting on 4chan while inattentively playing music in the background!

>>60713767
Thanks, I'm beginning uploading in a moment.
>>
>>60713867
Jesus christ hampus shut the fuck up.

>>60713767
Is this trad?
>>
>>60713907
Good post. Are you mad because you also "listen" to music in the background while your attention is focused on something else?
>>
>>60713907
>Is this trad?
kinda no. it's mostly a trade in for Hampus.
>>
>>60713953
I'm not mad, you're just being extremely obnoxious.
>>
>>60714045
Not at all, I'm just pointing out a very real problem with people who claim to be super interested in music.

>>60713767
Mega cons is being a complete little cunt and won't allow me to log in or upload right now, I'll have the album up as soon as it works for me.
>>
>>60714074
And it's fine that you want to discuss that, but then make a thread about it. What does that have to do with traditional music, really?
>>
Asias too stringy for me.

Okay in small doses.

Unless you know some drum heavy stuff?
>>
>>60714108
Good point, I can bait more people with a dedicated thread.
>>

wew lad

they don't even seem to be that long. Should I reup it or you'll figure out how to extract it?
>>
>>60715525
They become long when you RAR them because it doesn't support the characters or something, so they're all expanded and weird. I think I've solved it.

Yeah, I did, works now, thanks.
