I've gone lower and lower ever since I changed my headphones from Sony XB-700 to AKG K550 and realized that instead of some 70 euro Logitech 2.1 set I could use this 200 euro Yamahas through the portable/line-in slot on the computer. Bought a FiiO E17K at the start of the year, and the the start it was at 28, now I've gone to 23. The Yamahas have dropped from 25 to 15. Annoyingly, at the same time, I've become super sensitive to road noise while driving and get a raging temporary tinnitus if I don't have earplugs. Maybe I should go get checked for hyperacusis.

what level are you people currently listening to your porn at? The loudness war is currently moving into adult movie territory and honestly? lack of dynamic range is killing the entire vibe. Such a loss of subtlety destroys not just my appetite for porn footage, but also, it makes it harder to hide the fact I'm watching it...

Through full-range speakers, exactly at talking level. Loud enough that you can hear every instrument and feel the bass, but you can speak over it without raising your voice.
With headphones, I have to turn the volume up a bit to get a better effect, since the bass and treble drops off even on my sennheisers.
