What does /mu/ think of Fugazi?
Three words: hella fucking epic
Fugazi is the shower.
Pretty overrated
good band
Obama still hasn't apologized for letting it happen.
>>60676088
my favourite band
though /mu/ generally has shit taste in their albums, the main albums I see posted are Repeater and The Argument
More like BOOgazi namsayin?
>>60676391
i only see Red Medicine posted, which is coincidentally their best album.
>>60676088
Love it
Probably the most underrated band here on /mu/
>>60676391
whats your favorite of theirs?
>>60676088
Fugazi is great, but it really clicked when I started watching live shows. The energy and improvisation are really phenomenal
>>60676432
I hardly see Red Medicine posted
>>60676452
It's between In On The Kill Taker and Red Medicine for me
>>60676579
>It's between In On The Kill Taker and Red Medicine for me
what do you think of steady diet? its one of my favorites by them and i see it posted less than kill taker and red medicine
Where should i start listening to them?
>>60676631
chronologically
unless you want the easiest one to listen to first which is "the argument"
>>60676631
13 songs is the best starter, Repeater is a good start
>>60676617
that is definitely their most underrated album
I love all of the tracks on that one, but something is just missing from it and i could never put my finger on what
>>60676631
Start with Repeater
It's flawless
>>60676691
same here man. i guess it just doesnt feel like a complete album and more like a collection of great tracks
I wish they had put I'm So Tired on an actual album
>>60676088
The guy who's not Ian Mackaye has the worst voice.
>>60677306
no
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra5y1SwQIb8
>>60677341
you're only proving my point
i'm fine with less than perfect or even sometimes downright bad vocals but his are just so fucking annoying
>>60677422
i like his voice
>>60677442
i figured as much
not for me i suppose. it sucks because I really love minor threat and like what i've heard from some of Ian's other projects
Three words: heavenly frickin' grand
>>60677422
Guy Picciotto is a great vocalist and you're an idiot
he's indesputably the better vocalist in Fugazi, even MacKaye admits it
>>60677502
agree
>>60677502
>my opinion is right guys! look how objective i am!!
kindly die
>>60677537
He's right. Fugazi would be boring without Picciotto's vocals.
>>60676088
I like them, when I was in 8th or 9th grade my friend gave me 13 songs
>>60677629
>x would be boring without this gimmick
You know you're trying to defend this band right?
>>60677659
>gimmick
kek
>>60677659
wow, you just proved you actually are an idiot
>>60676260
underrated post
>>60677716
>>60677753
am i? Gimmick may be a simplification, but if the only diversity in a band lies within the vocals, you've got a shit band lined up.
This aside, I disagree with his voice being the most important part.
>>60677875
Holy shit /mu/ is extra retarded today
>>60677961
>is presented with reason and a well-thought out opinion
>"ur retarded xD"
you're the type of mongoloids that make this place shit
>>60677875
>I disagree with his voice being the most important part
nobody ever said the vocals were the most important part, we just said he's a good vocalist
the interpklay of the instruments is obviously what makes the band great
>>60678006
it wasn't well thought out
>>60678057
>nobody ever said...
refer to >>60677629
how was it not well thought out?
Fugazi's instrumentation and songwriting are pretty good, but they've never grabbed me as anything other than standard post-hardcore. Picciotto's voice just detracts from their value because his voice is annoying
(imo)
>>60676088
Awesome, i thibk I perfer Unwound though both are post-hardcore's best
I respect their ethos and everything about what they stand for but their music is fucking unlistenable outside of Waiting Room. I'd rather listen to hardcore, Gang of Four or Jamaican music anytime instead of a shitty combination of it all.
>>60678188
>outside of Waiting Room
you are the biggest pleb on the internet, congrats
One of the best bands ever, used to be obsessed with them when I was younger
>>60677875
Jesus
i was at a vegan market in brooklyn a few yers back and ian complemented my skateboard :^)
>>60678767
cool! i think he'd go pretty well with my skateboard too!
